Assetto Corsa Evo Trailer Shows First Gameplay & Release Date

Kunos Simulazioni has just revealed Assetto Corsa Evo properly for the first time after a sneak peak back in April 2024. This new trailer showcases snippets of gameplay for the first time, and also shares an official release date.

Below is the official announcement trailer for the upcoming AC Evo, showcasing in game footage and gameplay for the first time.
When is the release date of Assetto Corsa Evo?
The new gameplay trailer for AC Evo, confirms that the game will enter early access will start of the 16th of January 2025. This isn’t the official release for the full game, however, it will be the first time sim racers can play Assetto Corsa Evo.
The game will be entering an early access program, however, we do not know what this entails and how long it will last before the official release date. Early access will only be available on Steam to start with, leaving Xbox and PS5 sim racers a little in the dark.

With a one-minute, 56-second reveal trailer, we can learn some key information about the new Assetto Corsa Evo that has yet to be confirmed.
There will be a full dynamic weather system
The gameplay shows a complete weather system including rain. This is a big change from the original Assetto Corsa that required rain to be modded in using SOL and RainFX mods. There is also a timelapse showing a complete day and night cycle, presumably meaning we can have changing conditions throughout a race.
There will be GT3 cars included despite not replacing ACC
The gameplay trailer showed a variety of modern GT3 cars including the Porsche 992 and Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. These cars will be included in the game. However, Kunos Simulazioni has confirmed that AC Evo is not a replacement for Assetto Corsa Competizione. Despite it including GT3 cars, it will not be a complete GT3 championship simulator.
AC Evo will include electric cars
By showcasing the exciting Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the gameplay reveal that electric cars will be in Assetto Corsa Evo. With this game claiming to be the ultimate driving simulator, it is important that electric cars are represented, and it’s great to see this being confirmed.
