F1 25 Autódromo José Carlos Pace Setup & Track Guide
The Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos is one of the most iconic races in F1 25. With its short lap, high-speed sections, and tight technical corners, this circuit demands a finely balanced setup and razor-sharp driving.
Corner by corner track guide for Interlagos
Sector 1: The Senna ‘S’
Turn 1 (Descida do Sol): Tight Left-Hander
- Tips: Brake just after the 100m board and turn in sharply. Downshift to 3rd gear. Hug the apex and prepare for quick transition into Turn 2.
Turn 2 (Senna S): Tight Right
- Tips: Smooth throttle application is crucial. Avoid spinning the rear. Keep the car positioned left for a wide line into Turn 3.
Turn 3 (Curva do Sol): Flat-Out Curve
- Tips: Flat in all dry conditions. DRS opens up shortly after exit. Perfect exit speed is vital for overtaking into Turn 4.
Sector 2: Technical and Undulating
Turn 4 (Descida do Lago): Heavy Braking Zone
- Tips: Great overtaking spot. Brake just before the 100m marker. Use 4th gear and mount a bit of the inside kerb without unsettling the car.
Turn 5: Left-Hand Kink
- Tips: Stay flat and flow through to maintain speed heading into Turn 6. Line matters for the following tight corners.
Turn 6 (Ferradura): Long Right-Hander
- Tips: Trail brake slightly and let the car roll. Keep tight to the inside but prepare for immediate change of direction.
Turn 7 (Laranjinha): Fast Left
- Tips: Keep throttle steady. Position the car on the right to prepare for the tricky slow-speed section.
Turn 8 (Pinheirinho): Tight Right
- Tips: Slowest part of the track. Brake early and avoid running wide on exit.
Turn 9 (Bico de Pato): Hairpin Left
- Tips: Maximize rotation with a quick flick. Apply throttle gently on exit to avoid wheelspin.
Turn 10 (Mergulho): Downhill Right
- Tips: Brake in a straight line, use 3rd gear, and get a clean exit for Turn 11.
Turn 11 (Juncao): Final Real Corner
- Tips: Absolutely critical for lap time. Brake slightly earlier and sacrifice apex for strong exit onto the uphill straight.
Sector 3: Flat-Out Finish
Turns 12–15: Curva da Arquibancada + Reta Oposta
- Tips: These are essentially flat-out sweeping bends. DRS opens on the main straight. Minimize steering input and run low downforce to maximize straight-line speed.
Setting up a car to master Brazil
Setup Area | Recommended Settings |
---|---|
Aerodynamics | Optimise your aero to be high, with a higher front wing than rear. |
Transmission | Rotation into slow corners is key, so lower your off throttle differential. |
Suspension | With such a slow and undulating layout, you can soften your suspension. |
Brakes | A low brake bias setup is key to avoiding lockups into the slower corners. |
Tyres | Increase your tyre pressures to make the tyres last during a race. |
Brazil race strategy for F1 25
Optimal strategy: Medium → Hard
- Start on medium tyres and switch to hards around Lap 11–13.
- Offers good grip at the start of the race to maximise your first corner overtaking.
