How do we test and review sim racing products?

We put each product through a rigorous testing process to create our written and video reviews. For racing wheels, wheelbases and pedals, we test them in various games, primarily Assetto Corsa Competizione, iRacing and the EA Sports F1 games. These give us three distinctly different styles of sim racing to see how the hardware reacts and what level of quality elements such as force feedback and pedal inputs are at.

When reviewing sim racing cockpits and sim rigs, the process of testing is very similar to when reviewing racing wheels. We try sim rigs with various racing games, as each game handles force feedback differently. We also test each cockpit and sim rig with a few different racing wheels.

Premium cockpits need to be able to withstand strong forces from powerful direct drive racing wheels. We have a range of wheels that we use for testing. These include our Fanatec ClubSport DD+, MOZA R3 and R12, and a Simucube 2 Pro. These wheels can be configured at a range of different force feedback strengths to test sim rigs for flexing and vibrations.
