The Simucube 2 wheel base lineup has been around for a good number of years. While the high-end sim racing brand has spent a few years focusing on ActivePedals, in the background their team have been cooking up their next generation wheel base, the Simucube 3.
Now, Simucube have revealed the Simucube 3 lineup, with pre-orders available now. Here are all the details we know about the Simucube 3 wheel bases, and whether you should buy one.
Simucube have revealed the next generation of wheel base, and it follows a similar form that we know so well. Simucube has really dominated the premium wheel base market with their fantastic Simucube 2 lineup. The Sport, Pro and now discontinued Ultimate wheel bases have long been the go-to premium direct drive wheel base if you are shopping for the best money can buy.
With the new Simucube 3 wheel bases, Simucube has once again opted for three different wheel bases. We have the;

Pre-order the Simucube 3 wheel base today
You can be one of the first to own a Simucube 3 wheel base, with pre-orders already open for the Sport and Pro models.
The new generation of Simucube wheel base has to be a big improvement to beat out the already impressive second generation. Simucube has introduced a range of new features and upgrades to ensure this new wheel base is the best they have ever released, and is able to compete with other premium wheel bases such as the Asetek Invicta.
All three of these new wheel bases feature completely re-engineered control algorithms, meaning pinpoint force feedback accuracy, along with silent use.
At the heart of the new Simucube 3 wheel bases are completely new motors. Simucube has designed the Spoke-type IPM direct drive motors for pinpoint accuracy, along with incredible response times. Given the last generation Simucube wheel bases remain one of the fastest and most accurate, this new generation should be incredible.
If you’ve used a Simucube ActivePedal, you’ll be used to the telemetry based effects such as ABS and traction haptics. These effects are making their way into the Simucube wheel bases. You’ll be able to feel unique telemetry-based rumbles and haptices including RPM feedback, road texture and ABS.
Along with a complete redesign, Simucube have introduced a new quick release. This was one of the weaker parts of the last generation wheel base, requiring a physical pin.

Simucube have been very open about opening up their ecosystem to third party brands with the Simucube 3. This quick release looks to be at the heart of this expanded ecosystem.

Given Simucube’s tendency for premium sim racing hardware, it is no surprise that the price of the three wheel bases remains high.
Below is the confirmed Simucube 3 wheel base prices for the Sport, Pro and Ultimate wheel bases.
Below is the official Simucube 3 reveal video, showing the new wheel base, and all of its features.
With all new product releases comes the question of “should I buy the current Simucube wheel, or wait for the new product?” This is a really valid question, as the new wheel base could be much pricier, or not deliver the upgrade we are all expecting.
There is never a bad time to buy the Simucube 2 Pro or Sport wheel base. They are both excellent direct drive wheels, and I’m sure they’ll be supported for years to come. We recently reviewed the Simucube 2 Pro wheel base, which you can watch below, to see whether we would recommend it. Spoiler alert… we would!
The Simucube 3 wheel base lineup was announced on October 9th 2025, with pre-orders opening right away.
The Simucube 3 wheels remain premium. The pricing is Sport €1236,41 (19% VAT) / $1399,00 (Excl. tax) / £1159,00 (20% VAT), Pro €1474,41 (19% VAT) / $1599,00 (Excl. tax) / £1399,00 (20% VAT), Ultimate €3188,01 (19% VAT) / $3299,00 (Excl. Tax) / £2899,00 (20% VAT)
