When viewing F1 25 car setups online, you may see terms such as LLLL, or 28.5-Max. But what do these terms mean exactly, and how do you use car setups shared online.

We have both free and pro car setups for F1 25, and we’d like to think both sets of car setups are pretty easy to read. In this article, I’ll run through exactly how to use our F1 25 car setups, and how to translate them into your game.

Which car setup to use in F1 25

Our F1 25 Pro car setups have been created by some of the fastest drivers in F1, and are designed to be among the quickest setups you can use. Our pro setups feature a range of different car setups for each track. Each of these is to be used in a different scenario. Below are the different types of car setups that you’ll find in our Pro setups.

  • Esports Quali: The fastest possible car setup designed for qualifying sessions.
  • Esports Race: Specifically designed for competitive online racing, with tyre wear factored in.
  • Safe Quali: A more stable variant of the Esports setup. Qualifying variant for fast lap times.
  • Safe Race: A stable car setup for more consistency while racing. Ideal for longer races.
  • Low Downforce: A low drag setup variant, only to be used when racing the AI.

You can view a sample of our F1 25 Pro setups by looking at our Australia setup page, which is free for everyone to view.

How to read our F1 25 Pro car setups

Depending on where you are finding your F1 car setups from, they may be displayed in a variety of different ways. You can see from the example of our F1 25 Pro setups above, that we structure our car setups in a way that makes them easy to read and use in game.

Each part of the car setup has its own line, which corresponds to each setup tab in game. Inside each line, the setup reads from left to right, which converts in game as top to bottom.

  • For example, the suspension setup in our Australia pro esports setup reads 41 – 5 – 2 – 12 – 20 – 43.
  • In game, this translates as top to bottom.
    • 41 relates to front suspension stiffness.
    • 5 relates to rear suspension stiffness and so on as you go down the setup options.

Understanding F1 25 setup jargon

If you aren’t using our pro setups, depending on where you find your car setups for F1 25, they may read differently to how we structure them.

Most setup sources and free setups list their setups in a similar way to how we do in the example above. However, you may come across some short hand or setup jargon that differs. This could read as Min – Max or LLLL as an example.

A common way to list free F1 car setups online is;

  • 20-15
  • 95-20
  • LLLL
  • 41-5-2-12-20-43
  • 51-100
  • Max-Min

This is very similar to our approach, with some key differences. Those are the lines that don’t have numbers. In F1 25 and previous games, it is common for car setups to be set up to the extreme. This could mean maxing out certain setup options, or moving them all to the left or right.

Below is an explanation on how to read these car setups;

  • LLLL = This refers to moving all setup option to the far left. This is common for the suspension geometry which is often moved all the way left to maximise performance.
  • Max-Min = This relates to tyre pressures. It is often beneficial to reduce or increase tyre pressures to their extremes. Max means increase tyre pressures as far as possible, while min means lower them as far as possible.
  • Q&R = Some setups may have the letters Q or R next to specific values. If you see these, they normally refer to qualifying and race. With Parc Ferme enabled you can change some setup areas such as the front wing and brake setup. The Q and R normally showcase adjustments to make between qualifying and the race.

Where can I find F1 25 car setups?
