Simucube have released the following press release detailing their plans for the Simucube 3, and the next decade of sim racing.
Partnerships with other brands
We are happy to announce that major names are on board. BavarianSimTec and Lovely Sim Racing are the main tech partners at launch. BavarianSimTec already releases their first Simucube Link compatible Delta Pro SC, with GSI and Ascher expected to launch wheels in 2026. Delta Sim-Tech, P1sim, and SimCore also announce their first Simucube Link wheels at launch. SimRacingBay and Cube Controls are expected to come out with their wheels in 2026.
Together with these partners, Simucube wants people to experience excellent racing sim out-of-the-box across the simulator games, with predictable effects, and safe, low-latency behaviour, especially now when simulators start to grow more complex with more high-power active devices. The promise is, that products carrying the Simucube Link badge, just work.

As part of the joint launch, Simucube releases the new benchmark Simucube 3 wheelbase together with Savu Pro and Sport steering wheels, which utilize the same made-for-sim-racing platform and its new Simucube Link Quick Release.
The platform consists of dedicated hardware modules, and more standardized open Simucube Link API communication between software, games, and sim racing hardware in real physical SI-units for torque, damping, friction, and others. The API is at Alpha stage, and already open for feedback from developers behind leading sim titles and community tools, automotive simulation engineers, and motorsport teams.

At the heart of the launch is Simucube Link, a technology platform which focuses specifically for racing simulation. After a decade as the world’s main hardware provider for business-critical racing simulators, Simucube now brings that expertise to both professional and home users in the form of a complete platform. The system is built on deterministic, real-time, and reliable communication with galvanic isolation over Ethernet — alongside other proven professional-grade technologies — to ensure reliability in every race.

Simucube Link technology connects:

Link Wheel Module — clean foundation for builders
Alongside Simucube 3 and Savu, Simucube is introducing the Link Wheel Module. This is a compact, integrated unit with touch screen and electronics, that gives wheel builders a direct way to craft wheels to connect with Simucube 3 via LightBridge benefits, or to other wheelbases using traditional USB wire or USB passthrough. In both cases you configure the wheel with Simucube Tuner.
The Link Wheel Module:
- Combines displays, LEDs, and all analog/digital inputs into one reliable, fault-isolated architecture.
- Allows to use steering wheel’s screen as a touchpadto control the PC, game and Tuner without the need to reach a mouse.
- Removes the need for internal USB hubs, adapters, or multiple add-on boards.
- Provides local rendering for smooth, consistent performance.
- Can drive LEDs with accurate synchronization, reinforced with durable touch display glass and PCB design.
- Simucube Link Quick Release with LightBridge contactless data and power, or via traditional USB.
- Integrated with Simucube Tuner for LED profiles, telemetry dashboards, and simple configuration.

Simucube 3 — the expected hero
Simucube 3 comes in three models — Sport (15Nm), Pro (25Nm), and Ultimate (35Nm).
All feature:
- Re-engineered control algorithms for uniquely calibrated, silent, and consistent feel.
- New motors designed to deliver efficient torque precision and response, Ultimate with a completely new Spoke-type IPM motor with dense magnetic fields for pinpointed accuracy.
- Telemetry-based effects like road texture, ABS, and RPM feedback for added detail.
The Simucube Link Quick Release debuts with Simucube 3, using a P3G polygon profile and LightBridge — a brushless and contactless data and power transfer system without slip rings. With this system, the Simucube Link supported wheels get the data and power delivered through the QR.
Every Simucube 3 also comes with the new Control Box, allowing in-race tweaks to how the device feels, and system wake-up of Link devices with one press, but also with improved motor control, signal handling, and consistency across the product line.
Tuner 3.0 simplifies setup with just two main sliders for torque and feel, while also offering advanced tools for fine-tuning force feedback, telemetry effects, fading/boosting signals, and mechanical feel adjustments with curve-control. Users can preview changes without starting a simulator.
Quality-of-life updates include tooltips, precise text-input sliders, and a new paddock for sharing and importing profiles. Tuner 3.0 supports both Simucube Link devices and Simucube 2, with existing TrueDrive profiles carried over.
Savu steering wheels
The new Simucube Savu Sport and Pro wheels set a new standard for screenless formula-style wheels.
Developed with partners and racers, Savu wheels deliver:

Availability
- Simucube 3 Sport and Pro & Simucube Savu Sport and Pro are available for pre-order on 9th of October. Shipping is estimated to start in November.

Should I buy a Simucube 2 or wait?
With all new product releases comes the question of “should I buy the current version, or wait for the new product?” This is a really valid question, as the new wheel base could be much pricier, or not deliver the upgrade we are all expecting.
There is never a bad time to buy the Simucube 2 Pro or Sport wheel base. They are both excellent direct drive wheels, and I’m sure they’ll be supported for years to come.
