Why Are There Qualifing & Race Setups With Parc Ferme Enabled?

With our F1 Pro setups, we include dedicated car setups for qualifying and race sessions. These setups can vary a lot from one another, including setup options that cannot be changed under Parc Ferme rules.

What is Parc Ferme?

Parc Ferme is a rule within Formula 1 which restricts making setup changes between qualifying and race sessions. You can only change limited car setup options while in Parc Ferme. These include;

  • Front wing
  • On throttle differential
  • Brake bias
  • Tyre pressures

All other car setup changes are locked in Parc Ferme.

The reason why we have included qualifying and race setups is because many of the top F1 leagues, including the PSGL and WOR, do not enforce Parc Ferme. In these leagues, you can completely change your car setup between quali and the race.

In these scenarios, we recommend using our dedicated qualifying session during all quali sessions. Then use our race-specific setups for the sprint and main races.

Which F1 Pro setup to use when Parc Ferme is enabled?

When you are racing in leagues or offline races where Parc Ferme is enabled, it can be tricky to decide which setup to use. In these scenarios, we would always recommend using our race setups.

You can still change some setup areas, including the front wing, differential and tyre pressures. While using the race setup, we’d recommend these setup changes for qualifying.

  • Increase the front wing by a few clicks
  • Increase the on throttle differential
  • Lower rear tyre pressures
