What Do Our Le Mans Ultimate Setup File Names Mean?

Inside each of our LMU car setup downloads are a series of setup files, each with its own tags. This makes finding the right setup in game incredibly quick and easy.

Each individual car setup will be named following this convention;

Jlopez_[session type]_[track name]_[version number]_[car name].json

For example a file named Jlopez_Q_COTA_Nat_V2_296_GT3.svm would mean the setup is a qualifying setup, for the track layout COTA National. It is the second version of the setup for the Ferrari 296 GT3 car.

Setup types explained

Below is an explanation of what each setup type means. As a rule of thumb, always use the highest version number setup, as it will be the most up-to-date.

  • Qualifying Pro setup (Q Track Name Pro)
    Any file labelled Q Pro is our pro qualifying setup. This is tuned to be as fast as possible, meaning it has a tendency to oversteer more than our regular setup. This is our recommended qualifying setup for skilled drivers.
  • Qualifying setup (Q_Track Name)
    A file labelled Q is our standard qualifying setup. This has been tuned to be fast, yet more stable than our qualifying pro setups. Ideal for sim racers who aren’t at an alien skill level.
  • Race setup (R_Track Name)
    Our setup files labelled R are our race setups. These are tuned for race situations, and tend to be even more stable than our qualifying setups.
  • Wet setup (Wet_Track Name)
    A setup file labelled W is a dedicated wet setup. These setups are designed for wet conditions.

We follow the Le Mans Ultimate setup folder structure, with all track variations bundled into the same folder. This means inside a folder for the Circuit of the Americas, you will find the track variations for COTA and COTA National.
