What Do Our ACC Setup File Names Mean?

Inside each of our Assetto Corsa Competizione setups folders are a range of car setups. Each car setup has its own naming convention, which can sometimes be tricky to read.

Each car setup file will follow this naming convention, making it easy to understand which car setups are designed for which scenario.

Jlopez_[session type]_[track name]_[additional tag]_[version number].json

For example, a setup file for COTA could be named Jlopez_Q_COTA_V3.json. This file would be designed for a qualifying session, for the Circuit of the Americas track, and it is the third version of the setup.

Below is a complete breakdown of each type of setup and what each tag means.

  • LFM
Any file with the tag LFM in its file name is designed specifically for use in a Low Fuel Motorsport race. These setups are created with the current LFM BoP (balance of performance).
  • Q
A setup with Q in its file name is designed specifically for qualifying.
  • R
Setups with R in the file name are designed for races.
  • Pro
A Pro setup is designed to be more aggressive than our standard setups. These are ideal for highly skilled sim racers, however, they may feel a little loose for average sim racers.
  • Wet
Any setup labelled wet, are designed for wet conditions.
