Is MOTEC Data Included With iRacing Setups?

All of our iRacing datapacks include all reference data for the setup. This includes replay files, ghost files and telemetry data.

With all iRacing datapacks, we include an .ibt file (iRacing binary telemetry) which can be used inside MOTEC to view the telemetry for the reference lap. This telemetry is from the fastest reference lap included with each week’s setup pack.

Do I need to convert the .ibt files to read in MOTEC?

All telemetry files recorded in iRacing are output as .ibt files. To view the data in MOTEC i2, you will need to convert the .ibt files. This can be done using a piece of software called Mu.

Mu will automatically convert your .ibt telemetry files into readable MOTEC data. You can configure the import and export folder within Mu to quickly and easily read .bit files in MOTEC. The software will convert your iRacing telemetry files into MOTEC Log File which can be directly opened and viewed in MOTEC.
