How To Use F1 Overlays with SimHub

Our F1 overlays utilise a standalone Windows 11 app, meaning they can be used with or without SimHub. When using on their own, simply follow the instructions on how to connect your overlays to your Sim Racing Setups account.

If you do want to use SimHub and our F1 overlays, that is easily achievable by enabling SimHub compatibility mode. Our F1 overlays app was designed with SimHub in mind. SimHub compatibility mode enables you to keep using allo of your SimHub devices and software, along with our overlays app.

To enable SimHub compatibility mode, follow the steps below

  1. Open our F1 overlays app, and connect your account like normal.
  2. Expand the “Configure Telemetry” section on the home screen of the app.
  3. Then Click the “SimHub compatibility mode” button. This will take you to the settings page.
  4. Toggle SimHub compatibility mode on. This will provide you with a different IP and UDP port to use in F1 26.
  5. In F1 26’s telemetry settings, ensure the game is pointing towards your usual SimHub setup.
    • This is normally IP: 127.0.0.1 and UDP Port 20777.
  6. With the F1 26 game pointing to SimHub, you will need to enable SimHub port forwarding. This is what will send your telemetry data to our overlay app.
  7. In the game config in SimHub for F1 26, enable “Forward UDP Packets To”, and enter the following IP and UDP Port.
    • IP: 127.0.0.1
    • UDP Port: 20778
      • Check the Sim Racing Setup overlay app to ensure 20778 is the correct UDP port to use. It can sometimes change if another application is using this UDP port.
  8. With that configured, the Sim Racing Setup F1 overlays will start working the second you start a session in F1 26.
