How To Load a Reference Lap In Our F1 Overlays

One of the main features of our F1 overlays app is the ability to load any reference lap. This could be a lap set by any member of our community or a Pro lap set by one of our Esports drivers.

When using reference laps, you will be able to see their inputs live in F1 26 while racing. You can also see your delta to them at any point of the track using our delta bars and delta trace overlays.

These overlays can help you quickly identify areas of the lap where you can improve, either by matching the Pro reference lap, or viewing corners where you’re losing time.

To load any reference lap into our F1 overlays, follow the steps below;

  1. Open the overlays app, and connect your account. You will need an active telemetry, overlay or Pro membership to use the reference laps feature.
  2. From the overlays settings page, click the button that says “Choose Lap” in the reference lap panel.
  3. Filter the lap time leaderboard by weather, track and session type.
  4. Once you have found a lap you wish to compare, select the “Load Lap” button.

This will load the reference lap into the overlays app, and populate many different overlays. You can now customise which overlays you wish to use. The reference lap data will be available in all overlays, and will start animating in real-time when on track.
