How To Create Custom F1 Overlay Layouts

Our Sim Racing Setups F1 Overlays app allows for complete customisation over how you position and design our overlays. You can turn individual overlays on and off, move them, change their size, and adjust various individual options for each overlay.

After making so many changes, you may want to save a custom layout. This will let you load the exact configuration of overlays, their positioning and settings at a later date.

One great use case for this is to set up different overlay layouts for different session types in F1 26. You could, for example, configure a qualifying overlay layout. And also configure a different layout for race sessions or league racing. You can then quickly load each custom layout when switching sessions, rather than having to manually adjust the overlays each time.

To create a custom overlay layout, follow the steps below

1. First step is to set up your overlays how you want them configured.
2. Click the “Edit Layout” button to enter the edit mode. From here, you can move overlays around the screen to position them correctly. You can also adjust the size of each overlay.
3. Also, inside the overlay settings for each overlay, you can change elements such as the opacity, and a few overlay-specific settings.
4. Once happy with your layout, click “Save Layout” to exit the design mode.
5. Then click the “Save/Load Layout” button to open the layout manager.
6. You can save the current layout by typing in a name, and clicking “Save Layout“. This will save the entire overlay settings and position.
7. You can then load that custom layout at any time in the future from this layout manager screen.

You can create as many custom layouts as you wish using the steps above. Having a different layout for practice sessions, qualifying and race is a good place to start. This will allow you to have different information and overlays on screen for each session type.
