How To Compare A Lap In Our F1 Overlays

Our Sim Racing Setups F1 overlays are designed to provide the ultimate real-time feedback to help you improve while you are on the track, not just post-session. Part of this real-time feedback is comparing your inputs and driving in real-time against our Pro drivers, or any other driver from our F1 leaderboard.

Follow our guide below to learn how to quickly compare any lap with our real-time F1 overlays.

Step 1: Start an F1 26 session with our overlays running

The first step is to load into any session in F1 26. You should have already installed and connected our F1 overlays, which you can find out how to do here. And have the F1 overlays running.

Step 2: Choose a comparison lap

With our F1 dashboard open, you can select a comparison lap by choosing the “Comparison Lap” option from the sidebar, or clicking the button on the dashboard saying “Choose Lap“.

Both of these links will take you to the lap comparison page. On this page, you’ll see a list of laps for the track you are currently racing on. The track should be auto-selected based on your current session, as long as the session has loaded. If the incorrect track is selected, you can change the track using the filter.

From the track list, add a comparison lap by simply finding a lap you want to compare and clicking “Compare Lap“. That lap will then be loaded into all overlays that use reference laps.

Step 3: Start driving to view the comparison lap

When you now start driving in your session, all overlays will show the comparison lap. This allows you to view the comparison laps inputs, their racing line and more. You can change the comparison lap at any time by going back into the dashboard and selecting a new comparison lap.
