F1 24 Autódromo José Carlos Pace Track Guide

The Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace is a historic Formula 1 circuit in Brazil. It has been on the F1 calendar since 1973 and features a tight, twisty layout. It can be compared to the Red Bull Ring in Austria due to its short layout and medium-speed sweeping corners.

There is a lot of elevation change around a single lap of Interlagos combined with a mixture of primarily slow corners and longer, faster turns. The Brazilian track layout promotes a higher downforce car setup to put in the fastest lap times in F1 24. However, the long back straight at the end of sector 3 and the start of sector 1 ensures you don’t run your aerodynamic setup too high.

Setting up a car to master Brazil

A very balanced car setup will work well around Brazil in F1 24. Adjusting your aerodynamic setup to be very neutral will give you the best combination of downforce for the slower corners, without sacrificing top speed for the two long straights.

I recommend an emphasis on a higher front wing aero setup to minimise understeer. Because the corners are quite slow and long, mid-corner understeer can really hamper your overall pace. You will want to maximise your corner exit out of turns 3 and 12, so a car that doesn’t understeer will be very beneficial in these sectors.

F1 24 Brazil Car Setup

Adjusting your car setup to feature a low on-throttle differential and a relatively soft suspension can help to reduce any wheel spin or oversteer while accelerating out of the slower corners.

You can, however, set your suspension geometry pretty aggressively, almost like a time trial car setup. This is possible as Brazil isn’t a track that is too punishing on tyre wear.

Brazil race strategy for F1 24

The Brazilian track in F1 24 isn’t too punishing on tyre wear. This is due to most of the circuit being slower-speed. There is the fast last sector that runs from turn 12 up until turn 1; however, this section doesn’t put much load on the tyres as it’s relatively straight.

Some fast corners, such as turns 3 and 6, do load up the tyres. However, you will quickly lose tyre temperature through slower corners, such as turns 1, 8, 10, and 12. Interlagos is front-limited, resulting in more wear on the front tyres.

With a two-stop strategy using the soft and medium tyres, you can easily complete a full race distance in F1 24. If you opt for two stints using the soft tyres, you may need to manage your pace through the faster corners to limit stress and tyre temperature buildup.

Is Brazil a hard or easy track in F1 24?

The Brazilian circuit is a trickier circuit to drive in F1 24. It isn’t too fast. However, some corners are fairly technical and tricky to master for fast lap times.

Is Brazil front or rear limited?

Autódromo José Carlos Pace is a front-limited track due to the long sweeping corners. The front tyres will wear faster than the rear tyres.

What makes a good car setup for Brazil in F1 24?

A good car setup for Brazil in the dry is a very well-balanced one. Keep your aerodynamic setup relatively even with a slightly higher front aero. Set your suspension quite soft to keep the car stable through the elevation changes and lower your tyre pressures to help with tyre wear.
