Simucube is often seen as the go-to wheel base manufacturer when money is no object. Their range of Simucube 2 wheel bases really became the best available thanks to the incredible force feedback. Now, we have the Simucube 3 lineup as well as the older Simucube 2 bases, and any Simucube wheel is ideal for the realism found in Project Motor Racing.
In this guide, I’ll share our recommended Simucube wheel settings for Project Motor Racing. I’ll run through every Simucube wheel base including both SC2 and SC3 lineups.
Simucube wheel bases are incredibly easy to set up. You will need to use the Simucube Tuner software to update and run your wheel base which is a free piece of software. With Tuner installed, and your wheel base powered on, you’ll be asked to calibrate your wheel when first starting Project Motor Racing.
--- Article continues below --- Shop Sim Racing DiscountsThis is a simple process of following the on screen instructions, just like you would when setting up iRacing. After this, you can head into the device input settings to further tailor your force feedback. I’d recommend using the specific settings for your wheel base that I recommend below. For example, the Sport and Pro wheel bases have slightly different setting recommendations.

Below are our recommended Project Motor Racing wheel settings for the Simucube 2 Sport, Pro and Ultimate wheel bases.
| Project Motor Racing In-game settings | Sport | Pro | Ultimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Global Force Feedback Gain | 90 | 70 | 40 |
| Low Force Boost | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Force Feedback Detail | 50 | 50 | 50 |
| Force Feedback Smoothing | 0 | 0 | 5 |
| Force Feedback Headroom | 120 | 120 | 120 |
| Haptic Strength | 50 | 50 | 50 |
As well as updating the force feedback settings in Project Motor Racing, you can also update your wheel base settings directly in the Tuner software. These can also be changed if you are still using the older True Drive software.

With the Simucube 3 wheel bases being released in 2026, choosing one of the new generation could be an attractive option. However, given their price reduction, and the fantastic quality of the force feedback of the older SC2 wheels. I’d recommend choosing the Simucube 2 Pro wheel base for Project Motor Racing.
It still outperforms many other wheel bases launched since it was released. And it makes for the ideal high-end wheel option to experience the realism in Project Motor Racing.
