Sim Racing Product Guides » The Cheapest Way To Buy Simucube: Simucube Pre-Owned
Simucube has launched a new way to purchase its premium sim racing hardware. Simucube Pre-Owned provides a selection of second hand hardware to sim racers at a much lower cost. Here are all the details.

Simucube hardware, including their wheel bases and pedals, have always been on the more premium side of sim racing. Their direct drive wheel bases and range of active pedals offer some of the best force feedback and performance within sim racing. However, they do also carry a high price tag, often making Simucube hardware too expensive for some.
Today, Simucube has launched its own pre-owned platform, providing a cheaper route to buy Simucube hardware. The pre-owned platform offers second hand Simucube wheel bases and active pedals, at a reduced price. The price reduction will differ across products, and depends on the products quality grading.
Simucube has gone all out with its pre-owned platform, offering most of its hardware. You will be able to purchase Simucube wheel bases, including the 2 Sport and 2 Pro wheels. It is unclear whether there will be any Ultimate wheel bases available.
You can also find pre-owned Simucube active pedals, including the ActivePedal Pro and Ultimate models. Individual throttle pedals, and Simucube branded steering wheels will also be available to purchase pre-owned.
Simucube pre-owned launched today, the 12th May, and pre-owned hardware is available to buy directly from Simucube.
Simucube will offer a range of pricing across its pre-owned range, with two quality categories. These categories differentiate products based on the visual defects, and this will affect the price. The two categories are;
Quality 2 products will be cheaper than those found in quality 1 due to the larger visual defects. However, these categories won’t affect the functionality of the hardware, with everything being tested and fully working.
Purchasing pre-owned sim racing hardware isn’t a trend that has been widely adopted, possibly due to warranty and performance factors. This is especially true when purchasing from other sim racers on used marketplaces.
Simucube is eleviating any worries about longevity and performance with all of their pre-owned hardware by including a 2 year warranty as standard. This warranty will cover every pre-owned product, and acts in the same way as Simucube’s regular warranty.
Every pre-owned product is fully tested at Simucube’s own factory, and you can get full Simucube support after purchase, just like you can with their new products.
Whether pre-owned is a viable route for you to purchase Simucube hardware at a cheaper price relies heavily on the price difference between new and pre-owned. Below is a quick comparison of some of the most popular simucube products. I’ve included the brand new RRP, as well as the pre-owned prices for quality 1 and quality 2 items.
New Price | Quality 1 | Quality 2 | |
---|---|---|---|
Simucube 2 Pro Wheel | €1504.75 | €1007 | €906 |
Simucube 2 Sport Wheel | €1290.14 | €903 | €812 |
Simucube ActivePedal Pro | €1759.51 | €1404 | €1172 |
Simucube ActivePedal Ultimate | €2508.75 | €1756 | €1580 |

Yes, all Simucube pre-owned products purchased directly from Simucube include a 2 year warranty as standard. They also include a 14 day money-back guarantee.
The pre-owned products from Simucube are cheaper and more affordable than brand new Simucube products. There are two quality categories, quality 1, which includes minor visual defects, and quality 2, which includes larger visual defects. Quality 2 products are the cheapest because of the larger defects.
All pre-owned products that Simucube offers have been tested and verified by the staff at Simucube, at their factory in Finland. These products work and perform as well as new products, backed by their full 2-year warranty.
