Sim Racing Product Guides » Simucube Launch UK Store: What It Means For You
Simucube has launched its own official UK store, allowing sim racers in the UK to buy with fast delivery and no import tax. Here are all of the details regarding delivery, tax, and prices.

Previously, Simucube had only European and United States shopfronts. This meant that if you lived in the United Kingdom, you could struggle to buy directly from Simucube, or you would have had to pay higher delivery fees and import taxes on any order. With the high price of Simucube products, these taxes and duties could be pretty high.
To fix this, Simucube has just announced and launched its own UK store front. This UK hub allows for faster delivery times, along with zero import taxes or hidden charges. Here are all of the details about this new UK brand store.
If you are based in the United Kingdom, buying directly from the UK Simucube store does make prices cheaper. For example, if I use the Simucube ActivePedal, the price from the European store (where UK customers used to purchase from) is €2508.75 before shipping and import taxes.
When converted to GBP, this works out roughly at £2170 using the current exchange rate. The price of the ActivePedal from the UK store is currently £2113, representing a saving of over £50.
Product | EU Price | UK Price |
---|---|---|
ActivePedal | €2508.75 | £2113 |
An important note is that this is based on the current exchange rate and could differ over time. However, the added bonus is that the shipping and tax charges differ a lot from the EU and UK store.
With the new UK storefront, Simucube can lower the shipping price to the United Kingdom. This saving isn’t huge, but can make a big difference if you make multiple purchases or purchase larger items.
Using the Simucube ActivePedal again as an example, shipping it from the EU storefront costs €18.83 using Postl shipping.
Shipping the same product directly from the UK storefront to a UK address costs just £11.94 using 2-4 day UPS or DHL delivery. This represents a small saving, but a saving nonetheless.
Product | EU Delivery Price | UK Delivery Price |
---|---|---|
ActivePedal | €18.83 | £11.94 |
One real area of savings when buying Simucube products directly from the UK is import tax. Many sim racing brands, including Simucube, are based in Europe. Since the UK left the EU, deliveries to the United Kingdom are subject to much more import tax. This can add up and make buying products from Europe much more expensive.
Once again, using the ActivePedal as an example and an import tax calculator, we can estimate the rough import tax on buying from Europe.
The usual import tax that is added is equivalent to VAT at 20%. On a Simucube ActivePedal, that works out to be roughly £425.
With the introduction of the UK Simucube store, you can now buy products directly from Simucub in three regions: the EU, the United States, and the UK. I recommend purchasing from the region you are in or the region you are closest to.
Below are links to all three Simucube regional stores to see prices in the correct currency.

When buying directly from the UK Simucube store, there will be no import tax or duties on any order delivered to the United Kingdom.
