In 2022, the Simucube ActivePedal changed the landscape of a sim racing pedal. The force feedback effects generated by the in-built motor allowed the ActivePedal to provide real-time feedback on how your car behaves.
These effects could be applied to both the throttle and brake to let you feel exactly when your brakes are about to lock or when you’re nearing the edge of grip. This approach to a sim racing pedal immediately elevated what was thought possible from a pedal set.
When it launched in 2022, the only real drawback of the ActivePedal was its incredibly high price. At over $2,200 per single pedal, it was priced out of contention for many sim racers.
Simucube is aware of this and has just announced the ActivePedal Pro, which brings all of the functionality from the original pedal at a lower price tag. Here are all of the details, including price, release date and just what is happening with the original pedal.
The new ActivePedal Pro, despite its name sounding more premium, is actually a cheaper version of the original ActivePedal. This new model is a streamlined version of the much-loved original pedal.
It retains all of the core feature set from the original pedal that made it special. You can still feel and adjust the force feedback directly from inside the Simucube Tuner software. A lot of the same adjustments can be applied including pedal travel, force, angle and force feedback effects.
Just like the original pedal, you can use the new ActivePedal Pro as either a brake, throttle or clutch. Depending on which option you choose, your pedal can feel very different and feedback different sensations while on track.
The new ActivePedal Pro is announced to have a big price cut from the original pedal. It is priced at €1402 excl VAT, making it over €500 cheaper than the Ultimate pedal.
Product | Price (Ex VAT) | |

Below is our review of the cheaper ActivePedal Pro.
Simucube are adopting its naming convention from its wheel bases, and renaming the original pedal to the ActivePedal Ultimate. This means there is now a Pro and Ultimate version of the ActivePedal, with the potential for an even cheaper Sport model in the future. This hasn’t been confirmed but it could make sense given the company’s wheelbase.
The new Pro pedal features 45 of the original adjustments that the now-named Ultimate pedal has. These include the infinite adjustability and all of the force feedback effects such as ABS, Traction control and G-Force.
Some adjustments, such as an extendable pedal arm, aren’t included in the Pro model, and these go a long way towards reducing the cost. The Pro pedal also has a lower maximum pedal force of just 110kg compared to the 170kg of the Ultimate.
