Sim-Lab is a brand well known to most sim racers. They produce some of the best sim racing cockpits and rigs around, including the mighty P1X Pro which I’ve been using for over a year as my daily rig.

The Dutch brand has now released a range of sim racing bundles that all feature a combination of cockpit, racing seat and accessories. Here are all of the details including which bundle we’d recommend.

What are Sim-Lab bundles?

Sim-Lab bundles are a package of sim racing hardware that includes a few essentials that are needed to start sim racing. Included in a Sim-Lab bundle is the cockpit frame along with a racing seat. As part of a bundle, Sim-Lab are also including a set of pedals and various accessories.

Sim-Lab are offering bundles at different price ranges to cater for sim racers with different budgets. Each bundle includes a different combination of sim racing products and equipment, but they all feature the same four components

  • Sim racing cockpit
  • Racing seat
  • Sim racing pedals
  • Various accessories

What do you get in each Sim-Lab bundle?

All four Sim-Lab bundles include the basis for you to start sim racing.

The cockpit

You get a complete cockpit, which range from the budget-friendly GT1 Evo cockpit, through to the premium P1X Pro. Which cockpit you get depends on the bundle you choose, but every Sim-Lab cockpit includes everything you need to mount your racing wheels and pedals to.

Racing seat

Normally, when buying a sim racing cockpit, a racing seat isn’t included, and that is the case with Sim-Lab. However, in each of the four bundles Sim-Lab are offering, they all include a racing seat. The seats are all variations of Sparco racing seats, with the Ultimate bundle getting the upgraded Sparco Circuit II QRT.

Sim Racing Pedals

Every bundle includes a set of Sim-Lab XP1 loadcell pedals. This is a two pedal set including a throttle and brake, with the brake pedal including a 200kg load cell sensor. These pedals are designed by Sim-Lab, ensuring perfect fitment with all Sim-Lab cockpits.

Accessories

Each bundle includes a different selection of accessories. With the Sport bundle, you get a few basics including a mousepad and a shifter bracket. As you move up the bundle lineup, more accessories are included, with the ultimate bundle including a mousepad, shifter bracket, keyboard tray, pedal slider, heel rest and a universal shelf.

Which bundle offers the best value?

All four bundles offer sim racers a nice saving on the total price of all hardware compared to being purchased individually. For example, the Ultimate bundle includes €2,743 worth of hardware, and costs €2,318, representing a saving of €425.

Each of the bundles has a different saving amount of between €250-€425. If you currently don’t have a sim racing setup, any of the Sim-Lab bundles make for a cost-efficient way of getting set up quickly.

Below are the savings that can be had on each bundle compared to buying all items individually

Where to buy the bundles

Currently, these Sim-Lab bundles are only available in mainland Europe, meaning they aren’t available to buy for customers in the US or UK just yet. I’m sure this will change, and if you’re reading this a long time after it was published, they may be available in your region already.

You can buy the bundles from Sim-Lab directly, and this will grant you the best price and a pretty nice saving compared to the total bundle value.

Frequently asked questions

Do the Sim-Lab bundles come pre-assembled?

All four of the Sim-Lab bundles are delivered in a variety of boxes, and are not pre-assembled. The cockpits are delivered as individual pieces of aluminium profile which require assembling.

Why is there not a racing wheel included in the bundles?

Sim-Lab currently specialise in sim racing cockpits as well as having a range of pedal and shifter peripherals. They don’t currently sell their own first-party wheel base or steering wheel, and they haven’t partenered with a third-party brand with these bundles. This means that all bundles include a set of pedals, but not a racing wheel.
