MOZA Racing proudly unveils the next evolution of its R12 Direct Drive Wheelbase, now powered by the cutting-edge NexGen 3.0 Force Feedback Algorithm. This upgrade not only enhances the R12’s already impressive performance but also introduces advanced features that elevate the entire sim racing experience. By improving both precision and realism, the R12 establishes a new benchmark in the competitive sim racing world, making it an essential choice for serious racers seeking unparalleled control and immersion.
The integration of the NexGen 3.0 Algorithm marks a significant leap in sim racing technology. This advanced algorithm eliminates swaying during straight-line driving and refines the natural inertia of the vehicle, creating a smoother and more realistic racing experience. Additionally, the algorithm introduces Hand-off Protection Mode 2, enhancing safety without compromising the thrill of drifting. With its improved force feedback response speed, the NexGen 3.0 provides a more dynamic and responsive driving sensation, offering racers unmatched precision and control.
What sets the R12 apart from its competitors is its exceptional motor design. The MOZA R12 Direct Drive base features a carbon fiber-wrapped rotor that is meticulously segmented into three offset sections at precise angles. This advanced design not only shields the rotor but also reduces eddy current losses and rotor heating, ensuring sustained peak performance. Carbon fiber, a lightweight material seven times stronger than steel, minimizes wear and tear on the rotor. The three offset segments further enhance performance by diminishing motor cogging torque, torque ripple, electromagnetic vibrations, and overall noise levels, resulting in a smoother and more immersive racing experience.
In addition to this innovative rotor design, the R12 features a 16-pole motor, unlike many competitors that use 12-pole motors. This higher pole count weakens the magnetic fields per pole, creating a more consistent composite magnetic field within the motor’s air gap. Consequently, this design reduces electromagnetic noise and vibration, ensuring smoother and more stable high-speed operation, and further enhancing the overall racing experience.
Building on its superior motor design, the R12 Wheelbase offers a suite of advanced features that elevate both usability and performance:
• Force Feedback Equalizer: MOZA’s FFB equalizer allows full customization and fine-tuning of the FFB effects spectrum for a perfect setup in any conditions.
• Speed-Dependent Force Feedback Dampening: This function will increase the damping FFB effect as the vehicle speed increases and reduces the dampening as the vehicle speed decreases to accurately mimic a real race car, resulting in greater high-speed stability and low-speed maneuverability.
• New Hands-off Protection Mode: This function can effectively avoid the risk of injury and quickly help restore control by detecting that hands are off the wheel. The NextGen3.0 also introduces Hand-off Protection Mode 2, providing protection without disrupting drifting. Additionally, it enhances force feedback response speed and overall driving sensations.
• Intelligent Temperature Control System: Enjoy reliable, steady temperature performance with the R12. Even for extended endurance racers, the R12 will never reduce output or attenuate due to overheating. Real-time onboard temperature monitoring means you will never miss a session.
These advanced features combine to provide an unparalleled racing experience, making the R12 a standout choice for enthusiasts seeking both precision and comfort.
Initially priced at $589, the MOZA R12 DD Base is now available for just $499, making this top-tier sim racing equipment more accessible than ever. MOZA Racing is also offering the R12 at discounted rates in other currencies:
This price reduction makes the R12 an even more compelling option for sim racing enthusiasts worldwide, offering exceptional performance at unbeatable value.
MOZA Racing is dedicated to enhancing the user experience with the R12’s seamless integration features. The MOZA Pit House software enables users to import configuration files from other drivers, allowing for personalized setups that cater to various racing styles. The R12 also supports the connection of multiple MOZA devices to a single base, conserving valuable USB ports on your PC and fostering a unified sim racing ecosystem. Additionally, the R12 is compatible with Xbox consoles when used with the MOZA ESX steering wheel, expanding its accessibility to a wider audience.
MOZA Racing is excited to showcase the enhanced R12 DD Base and its full lineup of racing gear, along with the brand-new flight sim products, at Gamescom 2024 in Cologne from August 21-25. This is your opportunity to experience firsthand the latest advancements that MOZA Racing has achieved.
