MOZA Racing has been extremely busy over the past few months. They arrived at Gamescom 2024 and announced a whole batch of new sim racing and flight products. These new products included two new pedal sets, multi-function stalks, a couple of steering wheels and a new flight stick.

While the MOZA mBooster Active Pedals look to be one of the best premium pedal sets arriving in 2024, the Porsche Mission R steering wheel has to be the best-looking new MOZA product.

This steering wheel is a replica of the steering wheel found in the Porsche Mission R car, and it is the first product to be released with MOZA and Porsche branding. Here are all of the details about this exciting new sim racing steering wheel.

What is the MOZA Porsche Mission R Steering Wheel?

This new steering wheel is an officially licensed replica and the first partnership between MOZA Racing and Porsche. It is designed to faithfully recreate the Mission R steering wheel and even uses Porsche’s original CAD data.

The MOZA Mission R wheel design

The wheel itself looks absolutely stunning with a large 5.4-inch OLED display boasting a sharp 720p resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The screen itself is curved to match the curve in the steering wheel’s chassis, and can be used to display a wide range of live telemetry from in-game.

A high-performance quad-core processor that can run at 1.3GHz powers the screen. This ensures the display has almost zero latency during use and is required to display the sharp 720p image. The dashboard editor that was introduced with the Vision GS wheel returns, allowing you to fully customise how the display looks and what information you see.

The rest of the steering wheel is constructed using CNC-machined aluminium to give the wheel a lot of rigidity, and the hand grips are finished in a premium suede-like material. This is designed to closely replicate the rearl-world Mission R wheel and how it feels in your hand.

Features and Functionality

This Porsche-branded steering wheel features all of the authentic buttons and inputs that can be found on the real-world wheel it’s based on. There are 12 individual inputs, including push buttons, thumb encoders, two front-facing encoders, and dual clutch paddles on the rear of the wheel.

Like all MOZA steering wheels, the compatibility is excellent. The excellent MOZA quick release is included as standard allowing this Porsche steering wheel to be compatible with all current MOZA Racing wheels.

You can also use this steering wheel with most third-party wheel bases using MOZA’s Universal Hub.

MOZA Mission R wheel price and release date

Currently, MOZA Racing hasn’t announced a price or a release date for this new steering wheel. It was shown for the first time at Gamescom 2024, giving customers a first look and hands-on experience with it.

We’d expect this to be priced in the premium wheel category, following the trend of the Vision GS wheel. It does feature less functionality than the recently released Vision GS, however, it looks to be built to an extremely high quality.

We will update this article once we know the pricing. You can sign up to be notified when new information drops on the MOZA Porsche steering wheel using the link below.
