Logitech has announced its first new sim racing wheel product in a few years, and it has done so with a bang by releasing seven new products in total. These includes a new shifter and handbrake, along with a quick release adapter. However, the most exciting products for most include the RS wheel hub and the four new steering wheel rims.
Logitech has created two wheel rims of its own that make up part of the new “Racing Series”. These include a track wheel and a more traditional round wheel. They have also partnered with legendary motorsport brand MOMO to release an additional two wheel rims that both carry the MOMO branding.
In this guide, I’ll compare all four wheel rims. I’ll also look at how to use the new Logitech wheel rims with the Logitech G Pro racing wheel, and how the RS wheel hub makes these new wheels compatible across all platforms.
Logitech has released four individual steering wheel rims, along with a single RS wheel hub which is used with all of the steering wheels.
The RS wheel hub contains a range of buttons, encoders, shifters and inputs, along with all of the electronics for the new steering wheels to function correctly.
You can then attach any of the four new wheel rims to the hub to complete your steering wheel configuration. Below is an overview of the RS wheel hub and the four new steering wheel rims.
Logitech has priced its new RS wheel rims incredibly competitively. To use any of the new wheel rims, you will require the RS wheel hub, which is priced at $129.99 or $149.99 for the Xbox-compatible version. After purchasing the RS wheel hub, you have the choice of either the RS track wheel or RS round wheel. You can also opt for one of the more premium MOMO wheel rims.
Below are the prices for each of these wheel rims and the price of the Logitech RS wheel hub.

The four new Logitech racing wheels can be divided into two categories. Below I’ll group the products to make it much easier to choose which wheel rim is right for you.
Both the Logitech G RS track wheel and the MOMO SIM GT-Racer 290 feature a GT-style open-top design. These steering wheels are ideally suited for GT racing, LMP racing or even Formula-style sim racing.
If your favourite sim racing titles include Assetto Corsa Competizione, Le Mans Ultimate, Rennsport or any of the F1 game series, I would recommend either of these two wheels.
The other two steering wheels include both the RS round wheel and the MOMO GT 320 wheel. These are more traditional road-car style circular wheel rims that are well suited to any discipline of racing.
I would recommend either of these wheels if you like to race WRC games, like to drift, or simply drive a wide variety of road cars in titles such as Forza Horizon.
The other consideration when choosing which new Logitech steering wheel is best for you is to compare both the MOMO and RS wheels. The two open-top GT-style wheels are very similar in ergonomics, as are the two round wheels. However, both MOMO wheels are more expensive.
This is due to the more premium materials that are used in its construction. MOMO have used a luxurious hand-wrapped microfibre hand grip as well as hand-crafted production to ensure the highest quality.
If you’d prefer a premium sim racing experience, the two MOMO wheels would be a better choice than the RS wheels. However, the Logitech RS track and round wheels offer fantastic value when paired with the RS wheel hub.
You can hit the track with any of the new Racing Series products on your Logitech G Pro racing wheel. The wheel hubs feature the Logitech quick release, connecting it directly to a Pro wheel.
You must ensure that you buy the correct version of the RS wheel hub, as there is an Xbox version and a separate PS5 version. You should match the console compatibility with your Logitech G Pro wheel to enable full compatibility.
Unfortunately, the older Logitech G923 will not support these new wheel rims. This is due to the G923 not having a quick release. Instead, the steering wheel and all electronics are bolted to the wheel base. This makes disassembly trickier than if a quick-release adapter was used.
There are mods available for the Logitech G923 that include alternate steering wheel designs from companies such as Acelith. However, to install any of these wheel rim mods, you do need to disassemble the G923’s wheel.

The new Logitech G RS and MOMO steering wheels are compatible with the Pro Racing Wheel when used with the RS wheel hub. They, unfortunately, are not compatible with the Logitech G923.
While the MOMO and RS wheels look very similar, the MOMO wheels are handcrafted and use more premium materials, leading to a higher price tag.
