For the first time in a while, Logitech has released a whole range of new sim racing products, which really expand the compatibility of the Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel.
These new products mean that, for the first time ever, you can use third-party steering wheels with the Pro Racing Wheel. You also have multiple official Logitech steering wheels to choose from that can be used with the Pro Wheel.
In this guide, I’ll show you how to install the new Logitech RS wheels and wheel rims on a Logitech Pro Wheel and how to install third-party and custom wheels on the Pro Racing Wheel.
Depending on your goal and which steering wheel you wish to use, you may need different products.
If you want to use a third-party steering wheel with your Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel from a brand such as MOZA Racing, GSI, Cube Controls or any others, you’ll need the new Logitech RS QR adapter. This quick release includes both a 70mm and 50.8mm PCD, allowing you to mount most steering wheels.
Product | Price | |

RS QR Adapter | $59.99 |
The Logitech RS quick release adapter is an official Logitech product that is directly compatible with the Pro Racing Wheel. This premium direct drive wheel was launched in September 2022, and launched with a quick release system. However, at launch, and across the past couple of years, there have been no official quick release adapter or alternate steering wheels.
With the quick release adapter officially being launched, you can now mount a whole range of steering wheels and real-world wheel rims directly to the QR adapter, which can then be attached to your Pro Racing Wheel.
Four wheel rims and a wheel hub are launching alongside the official Logitech RS QR Adapter. These wheel rims are designed to be used alongside the Logitech RS Wheel Hub and offer multiple customisation options.
The RS Wheel Hub includes a quick release pre-installed, meaning you won’t need to purchase the individual RS QR Adapter to use it. The difference between the RS Wheel Hub and RS QR Adapter is all of the additional functionality that the wheel hub includes.
Product | Price | |
---|---|---|
RS Wheel Hub | $129.99 (PC) / $149.99 (Xbox/PC) |
The Logitech RS Wheel Hub includes a range of inputs, including push buttons, rotary encoders, rev lights, and paddle shifters, as standard. None of these electronics are present on the basic QR Adapter.
You then have the choice of which Logitech RS wheel rim you wish to install, which gets mounted directly to the front of the wheel hub. Then the wheel hub will click onto the Pro Racing Wheel using the pre-installed quick release.
You can choose to use any of the RS wheel rims without the wheel hub and the Pro Racing Wheel will still generate force feedback. Although you won’t have any electronic functionality in the wheel itself.
The great thing about each of the four new Logitech steering wheels is that they are all designed to be directly compatible with the Logitech RS Wheel Hub. They slot perfectly around the wheel hub’s inputs, allowing for seamless integration.
With an official Logitech RS steering wheel mounted to the wheel hub, you’ll be able to use all push buttons, the two encoders and the shifters.
To install any of the RS or MOMO wheel rims to the Logitech G RS Wheel Hub, follow the instructions below.
Once the wheel hub is attached to your wheel base, you should be able to see it recognised in Logitech G Hub. In the software, you can change various elements including the rev light behaviour and colour as well as customising button inputs.
If you already have a steering wheel that can be used with other wheel bases, you may want to use that with your Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel instead of one of the official Logitech wheels.
This can be done with steering wheels from brands including MOZA Racing, Cube Controls, GSI and others. These steering wheels often include a dedicated data port on the rear of the steering wheel so you can send power and transmit data directly to your PC. Some wheels such as those from Cube Controls can come in a wireless option that sends data via Bluetooth.

The Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel features an in-built quick release adapter that allows for the steering wheel to be changed. The new Logitech RS QR Adapter and wheel hub allows for more steering wheel options to be used with the Pro Wheel. To change a steering wheel, simply pull the quick release tab to release the old wheel, then push the new wheel onto the wheel base.
You can use almost any steering wheel with a Logitech Pro Racing Wheel thanks to the new Logitech RS QR Adapter. The QR adapter can be fitted to most steering wheels and wheel rims, and then attached to the Pro Racing Wheel.
