Fanatec Lowers Price For All Direct Drive Wheel Bases
Fanatec has dropped its prices across its entire direct drive wheel base lineup today, with prices lowered by up to $280. Here are all the details and new prices.

Fanatec is hot off the back of the release of the Podium DD wheel base, which was launched at a suprisingly low price. At launch, it was only $/€100 more than the Clubsport DD+, despite offering a significant performance increase.
In our review, I mentioned how this price suprised me, and today Fanatec has announced clarification for this low price. It has done so by lowering the price across its entire direct drive wheel base lineup.

Fanatec price drop: Let’s look at the new prices
Some Fanatec wheel base prices have been lowered as much as $280 or €200. This is a consequence of the Podium DD wheel base launching in January at a much lower price than anticipated.
Fanatec state the following in regards to the current price drop: “A more efficient second-generation architecture, combined with improved manufacturing and logistics through our integration with CORSAIR, allows u to pass these savings on to you. High-performance force feedback now has a more accessible price, with reductions of up to 30 percent depending on model and region.“
