Fanatec Launch New Esports Podium Steering Wheel Bundle

Fanatec has been partnered with the GT World Challenge (formerly known as the Blancpain GT Series) for a while now. However, this year was a historic one, due to the Esports addition.

For the first time ever, a real-world racing championship, the GT World Challenge, also competed in an Esports series during the season, with real points on offer for each of the teams.

The series itself, branded as the Fanatec Esports GT Pro series, ensured every team on the grid competed in a series of five races throughout the season. The winner of each event got 3 points added to their actual championship standings, meaning each Esports event carried a little bit of reward.

Throughout this series, all drivers were using a Fanatec sim racing wheel setup. And now, you can purchase the exact steering wheel bundle that each of the drivers raced with.

What is the Fanatec Podium Steering Wheel Fanatec GT World Challenge bundle?

The new bundle is officially named the Podium Steering Wheel Fanatec GT World Challenge bundle (what a catchy name!). It consists of four elements which are all available to purchase separately. However, purchasing as part of this bundle will save you some money.

ClubSport Wheel Rim 320

First up, there is the ClubSport Wheel Rim 320. This is a nice, multi-purpose round wheel rim, which serves as a great platform to build upon. It features a fully leather rim and is designed with the Podium Button Module Endurance in mind, making these two items the perfect match.

Podium Button Module Endurance

Talking about the button module, the Podium Button Module Endurance is where this bundle really comes alive. It fits perfectly to the ClubSport wheel rim and expands your functionality massively.

This full-scale replica of a GT3-class endurance button module is constructed from real carbon fibre. And gives you a huge amount of functionality including an LED screen, rev-lights, 10 buttons, two 2-way toggle switches, a 2-axis analogue stick, 7-way FunkySwitch, and two 12-position switches.

Podium Advanced Paddle Module

The Podium Advanced Paddle Module is Fanatec’s most premium paddle shifter module. It features a carbon fibre design, with magnetic shifters and an F1-style dual-clutch system.

Podium Hub

Finally, as part of this bundle, you’ll also receive the Fanatec Podium Hub. This sits at the core of your sim racing wheel setup and acts as the wheel mount between your steering wheel and wheelbase.

Compatibility

To get the full benefit of this wheel bundle, you should look to pair it with one of Fanatec’s direct-drive wheels. This bundle is fully compatible with both DD1 and DD2 wheelbases, as well as the newly released CSL DD wheelbase. It is also compatible with the older ClubSport V2.5 wheelbase.

This product bundle is heavily designed to be used on PC and isn’t compatible with Xbox consoles at all. It can be used with PlayStation consoles if paired with the correct wheelbase such as the Podium F1 PS4.
