Fanatec has announced another new product, the Clubsport Racing Wheel F1. This new sim racing bundle is a PS5 plug and play racing wheel. Here are all the details including price and release date.

Fanatec has continued its trend of releasing new bundles. We’re just off the back of the announcement of the Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Extreme bundle that featured a Gran Turismo licensed steering wheel. Now we have another cracking looking bundle from Fanatec with a Formula 1 steering wheel attached.
In this guide, I’ll run through all of the details about the new Fanatec ClubSport Racing Wheel F1. I’ll look at how much it costs as well as what’s included and whether its good value.
Fanatec has also released another new bundle, the ClubSport DD F1 Esports V2.
This latest sim racing bundle from Fanatec follows the trend that the Gran Turismo DD Extreme set. It includes a ClubSport DD+ wheel base that is compatible with PlayStation 5 consoles and produces a whopping 15Nm of peak torque.
You also get the updated quick release, the QR2 included in this bundle. Unlike the GT DD Extreme, you do get the metal QR2 wheel side quick release this time which is a definite positive. You can swap the wheel side quick release with any other Fanatec steering wheel to create your own custom sim racing setup.
Finally, you get an updated version of the Fanatec ClubSport Formula wheel. This is an evolution of the Formula 2.5X wheel and features a new blue forged carbon fibre face plate that is unique to this bundle.

The only place that you can currently buy the Fanatec Clubsport Racing Wheel F1 is from Fanatec’s website directly. They currently state that shipping and delivery will be from 4-7 days. This is normally the time it takes for Fanatec to process and ship the order, with some extra time allowed on top for the actual delivery.
OK, next up is the big question. Just how much does this new Fanatec racing wheel cost? Well, the answer is that it certainly isn’t cheap, however, it is lower than I had expected.
The Fanatec ClubSport Racing Wheel F1 costs €1299.95 in Europe, $1299.95 in the United States and $2139.95 in Australia. This puts it at the exact same price range as the Gran Turismo DD Extreme bundle. However, I believe this new bundle is actually more impressive!
To put that price into perspective, here is how the new Racing Wheel F1 bundle stacks up against other Fanatec bundles in terms of price. You will see it is the same price and performance level as the GT DD Extreme bundle but significantly more expensive than the GT DD Pro bundles.

As a part of this sim racing bundle, you get a good amount of value. I said earlier in this guide that I believe this new bundle is better value than the older GT DD Extreme that was released around a month ago. That is because you get the upgraded quick release, and a better steering wheel in my opinion.
The upgraded quick release will give you better durability and quality over time compared to the QR2 Lite that was included with the GT DD Extreme. Also, I wasn’t a huge fan of the Gran Turismo licensed steering wheel. It had too much plastic used in its construction and felt a little bit cheaper than this Formula 1 steering wheel.
You will see that if we break down the cost of each item when purchased individually, this bundle does represent a saving. The cost of this new Formula 1 bundle is €1299.95, which is around €150 less than the total cost of each item included.

The good news is that this new Fanatec bundle is available to purchase right away. On the Australian store it is listed as available to ship right away, while on the European and United States stores it has a shipping estimate of 4-7 days.
You can place orders for this bundle now, and it is probably recommended as the Gran Turismo DD Extreme bundle did sell out in various regions. However, it should be noted that some Fanatec products recently have experienced shipping delays. Hopefully, this bundle will not face those same issues.
This is marketed as a PlayStation 5-compatible sim racing wheel. The entire bundle is compatible with PS5 consoles and is completely plug-and-play. You can also use the wheel base with an Xbox console if you own an Xbox-compatible Fanatec steering wheel.

The Fanatec ClubSport Racing Wheel F1 is only listed as being PS5 and PC compatible. This means that the whole bundle will not work on an Xbox. You can enable Xbox compatibility with the wheel base if you use an Xbox compatible Fanatec steering wheel.
This new bundle is very similar to the Gran Turismo DD Extreme. It includes the same wheel base, however the QR2 is the upgraded version and the steering wheel is different.
