In this buyer’s guide, I’ll show you the best TVs for sim racing in 2025. I’ll include the best budget TV and the best premium TV.
The biggest debate with sim racing displays is whether to use a single screen or triple screens, and it often boils down to choosing an ultrawide gaming monitor or triple screens for the perfect sim racing display. However, there isn’t much discussion about using a TV as your sim racing display.
Many gamers and sim racers state that TVs aren’t ideal for sim racing due to low refresh rates and the lack of software such as Nvidia G-Sync. However, TV brands do produce some TVs with gaming in mind, and these displays can feature excellent refresh rates, paired with high resolutions and a large size.
These features, in combination, can make for an excellent sim racing TV. The perk of using a TV for sim racing instead of a monitor is that TVs often come in much larger sizes, and this can help you achieve a more realistic field of view, and let you see more of the track at once.

In our buyer’s guide for the best sim racing monitors, I recommend that the ideal sweet spot for the size of a single screen when sim racing is between 32 inches and 42 inches. This size guide can be applied to TVs as well as monitors.
One of the reasons why you may choose a TV instead of a gaming monitor for sim racing is to get a larger screen. If you are mounting your TV on the wall, or on its own freestanding mount, you can opt for a much larger TV when sim racing, all the way up to and over 65 inches.
Using a 65 inch TV for sim racing does veer on the larger side. If you are mounting your TV close to your sim rig, a 65 inch TV may be too big. I would recommend between 32 and 42 inches as the sweet spot if you are mounting your TV to your sim rig, or 42 to 55 inches if you are mounting your TV on its own mount at the end of your cockpit.
Most premium sim racing cockpits and sim rigs do have optional monitor mounts that can be purchased. These integrated monitor mounts are ideal for mounting a monitor, or triple screens to your sim rig. However, they often have a size limitation. Sim-Lab, for example, has a size limit of 43 inches for a standard 16:9 TV or monitor.
These limitations can often restrict the size of TV that you mount to your sim rig. You may want a larger TV than your sim rig can accommodate, and in these scenarios, I would recommend buying a free-standing monitor mount. Free standing mounts often allow for much larger screen sizes, and can accommodate large 4K TVs.

One of the biggest downsides of choosing an OLED gaming TV is that in brighter rooms, the picture can become washed out due to the peak brightness of an OLED panel not quite matching a traditional LED. The S90D overcomes this with a high peak brightness of 1300 nits.

The LG G4 OLED is LG’s flagship OLED TV. It is ideal for sim racing thanks to its huge feature set, access to essential gaming features such as G-Sync, and incredible handling of motion and brightness.
This TV shines where other OLED TVs don’t thanks to a brightness booster feature that allows the G4 TV to surpass most OLED TVs in terms of brightness with a peak brightness of around 1500 nits. Much like the Samsung S90D that I recommended above, the LG G4 OLED has built-in cloud gaming, which allows it to access thousands of games.
There is no getting away from the fact that this TV is expensive, coming in at over £/$2000 and easily being the most expensive gaming TV in this buyer’s guide. However, it has an extensive feature list to reinforce this price.
The LG G4 OLED TV is a better all round TV for gaming. It has a brighter screen, especially when displaying HDR gaming content. This is paired with the Alpha 11 processor compared to the a8 AI processor in the B4 TV. The LG G4 also has a sleeker frame and is built to a more premium quality.

It isn’t quite as flashy as the more expensive LG G4 or the Samsung S90D, however, it packs a great OLED panel along with a batch of fantastic features for sim racing and gaming.
Much like the more expensive LG G4, this B4 still features both AMD FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility making it ideal for those who race games such as iRacing or Assetto Corsa Competizione on a PC. The Hisense U7N is the only non-OLED TV that I’ve recommended in this sim racing TV buyer’s guide and that shows just how good and accessible OLED TVs have become. Despite not having the flashy OLED display, the Hisense U7N uses min-LED technology to create a fantastic picture.
Much like the more premium TVs that I’ve recommended for sim racing, the Hisense comes packed with features including an incredible 144Hz refresh rate and access to both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium. There is also a dedicated game bar to dial in the picture quality while sim racing.
The downside of this sub-£/$1000 gaming TV is the audio quality is lacking. If you are planning on sim racing with the Hisense U7N, I’d recommend investing in a good headset or good soundbar.
