Up until recently, Asetek has been best known for their high-end sim racing pedals. That has all changed today with a host of new product announcements.
Danish company Asetek has just unveiled a new range of sim racing products. These include three brand-new direct drive wheel bases, two new formula-style steering wheels and new sim racing pedals.
All of these new sim racing products transform Asetek’s sim racing lineup. You can now for the first time run a completely Asetek-only sim racing setup.
So Asetek’s new product launch today has been a pretty big one. There are a lot of new products on show, and this can cause some confusion as to which products are best for different requirements.

To break it down, Asetek has launched three brand new wheel bases, the La Prima, Forte, and Invicta. Both the Forte and Invicta can be purchased separately. While the La Prima is only currently available in the La Prima bundle, more on that later on.
To go along with these new wheel bases, you’ll need a steering wheel, so Asetek has you covered there as well. There are two brand new steering wheels on offer, the La Prima wheel and the Forte wheel.
Much like the wheel bases, the La Prima wheel is only available as part of the La Prima bundle. The Forte wheel is available to purchase individually.
Finally, rounding out today’s announcements are the La Prima pedals, which are only sold as part of the La Prima bundle.
Phew! That was a lot of products to get through. As you can tell, this has been a pretty busy day for the folks over at Asetek.
I’ve mentioned it a few times already, so thought I’d highlight it again. As well as the individual products that have just been announced, Asetek are selling a new bundle, the La Prima bundle.
The La Prima bundle consists of a wheel base, steering wheel and pedal set that are not available separately.
Starting with the wheel bases, as these are possibly the most impressive product launches we’ve seen today.
Asetek has launched three different wheel bases. All are direct drive with a range of force feedback outputs.

The new Asetek Invicta wheel base sits at the top of the tree in terms of performance. It is built to be one of the best performing direct drive wheel bases and offers a staggering 27Nm of peak torque.
That amount of force feedback strength allows it to compete with the strongest and most powerful direct drive wheel bases on the market today.
It has been designed as a professional-level wheel base, and utilises four million points of resolution, with a 22-bit encoder for extreme resolution and precision.
On the reverse of all of the Invicta wheel base is five USB ports allowing you to connect pedals and other peripherals. And all of these new Asetek wheel bases offer front, side and bottom mounting.
The Invicta wheel base is available to purchase for €1,199.99.
Racing Wheel – Asetek Forte 18Nm

The Forte wheel base is a direct drive wheel base that utilises the same hardware as the more powerful Invicta wheel base. It is capable of outputting up to 18Nm of force feedback torque.
While this wheel base does sit in between the La Prima and Invicta in terms of performance. It is actually the entry-level wheel base that is available to purchase separately. That is because you cannot buy the La Forte wheel base individually from the bundle.
The Forte wheel base is available to purchase for €799.99.
Racing Wheel – Asetek La Prima 12Nm

The entry-level La Prima wheel base isn’t available to purchase individually, instead, it is only available as part of the La Prima bundle. This bundle is designed as a great entry point for sim racers looking for a low-cost, high-performance direct drive sim racing bundle.
The La Prima wheel base outputs 12Nm of peak torque and it utilises the same hardware and feature set as the most powerful Invicta wheel base. It features a 22-bit encoder with low latency and detailed response.
It also features a cable-free quick release meaning the link between the steering wheel and wheel base is cable free.
The La Prima bundle is available to purchase for €1,079.99.
Asetek has announced two brand new formula-style sim racing steering wheels. Both of these wheels are based on the same design with a few variances to seperate them.
The new Forte steering wheel has been designed to replicate the same experience found in an open-wheeled race car.

It utilises a range of high-end materials including real carbon fibre to create a wheel that performs well when paired with any of the powerful Asetek direct drive wheel bases.
The exterior features real carbon fibre, and there are plenty of inputs. You have twelve push buttons, two 2-way toggle switches, two 7-way switches, three rotary encoders and six thumb encoders.
These inputs should easily be enough for any sim racer to feel comfortable behind the wheel. There are also 49 fully customisable ARGB LED rev lights and flag lights.
The reverse of the wheel features two contactless magnetic shifters, and there is space to upgrade to a dual-clutch system.
The Forte formula steering wheel is available to purchase for €479.99.
Both the La Prima and Forte steering wheels are bespoke designs based on the style of steering wheel found in open-wheel race cars.
The La Prima steering wheel features a range of the same features as the higher-end Forte wheel, with a few ommissions. This wheel isn’t available to purchase individually, instead, it’s available as part of the more budget-focused La Prima sim racing bundle.
The design of the wheel is almost identical to the Forte, and features a range of push buttons, two 7-way switches, and three 12-way encoders.
The La Prima bundle is available to purchase for €1,079.99.
As I have spoken about a fair bit in this guide, Asetek has launched a new sim racing bundle, the La Prima bundle.
