Asetek has officially announced the Invicta Formula Steering Wheel, kicking off the ADAC Sim Racing Expo in incredible fashion. This new steering wheel allows you to customise your wheel configuration and offers an incredibly premium design with a lot of functionality.

Here are all of the details on the new Invicta Formula steering wheel and button box. This includes details on the price and release date and exactly how to customise your own Invicta wheel.

What is the Asetek Invicta Formula Wheel?

Asetek Sim Sports launched their sim racing lineup with the much-loved Forte Formula wheel. This was a mid-range to high-end sim racing steering wheel that paired perfectly with Asetek’s new wheel bases.

The wheel was designed in a formula style and forged from carbon fibre composite, giving you a range of inputs and button mapping options. Since the launch of the Forte wheel, Asetek has released a range of button boxes that allow more customisation when creating your ideal wheel rim.

The Asetek Invicta Formula Wheel follows this button box trend and is actually a completely self-contained button box, allowing you to customise your final steering wheel. By releasing the Invicta wheel as a button box, you can change out which handles you prefer, leaning more towards an F1 or LMP-style steering wheel.

In fact, Asetek has gone one step beyond this, and allowed a whole range of customisation options, ranging from changing the hand grips, swapping out the button caps, chanigng the front plate material and much more.

How much does it cost?

Asetek has three distinct product ranges: the lower-priced La Prima, the mid-range Forte, and the premium Invicta. Since this Steering wheel is named the Invicta Formula Steering Wheel, we can expect it to encompass the most premium materials and carry a rather large price tag.

Asetek Invicta Button Box

The Asetek Invicta wheel lives up to its name by offering a range of carbon fibre finishes and a huge 60Hz display on the front. However, it is more expensive than the Forte wheel, which retails for €681 or $544.99.

This premium Invicta wheel base starts from €1562.49 or $1249.99 and can reach over €1855 or $1485 if you opt for the more premium hand grips and upgraded shifter module.

Why is the Asetek Invicta wheel cheaper in the United States?

Looking at the pricing above can lead you to believe that the Invicta wheel is cheaper when purchased in the United States than in Europe. This is completely down to VAT and tax. The United States pricing does not include any sales tax, whereas the EU price does include VAT.

The price of the Asetek Invicta Formula Wheel before tax is the same at $1249.99/€1249.99 in all regions.

What options can be customised?

Asetek has allowed a lot of customisation with the Invicta Formula Wheel. This isn’t normally possible with most other Asetek products when buying them, although there are options to modify the wheels available as additional accessories.

For the release of the Invicta wheel, Asetek has built in a complete configurator to their website letting you see a full CGI visualisation of the Invicta wheel as you change certain elements.

When is the Invicta wheel available to buy?

Asetek has opened up its web store to accept orders for the Invicta steering wheel in all regions. Delivery can be as quick as 1 or 2 days if you choose express delivery options.

What is the difference between the La Prima, Forte and Invicta F1 wheels?

With the Invicta wheel finally launching and rounding out the Asetek formula steering wheel lineup, there are now three different formula steering wheel options. To add to this, there are also two additional button boxes, the La Prima and Forte.

Each of these wheels offers a different feature set at a different price point with the Invicta wheel being the most premium and the La Prima wheel being the most affordable.
