iRacing is without a doubt one of the most complete racing simulators available in 2025. It offers a large variety of racing disciplines for you to participate in, and a huge number of cars available across these racing disciplines.
With so many cars available, it can be tricky to nail down which cars you want to jump into and start driving first. With over 100 cars available as of 2025, we thought it was a good idea to bring you a complete iRacing car list.
When you purchase an iRacing membership, you immediately gain access to a small number of cars to start racing in. In total there is currently 18 free cars included, and these stretch across each discipline in iRacing.
There are a few road racers, a couple of open-wheeled race cars, and a mixture of oval, dirt and rallycross cars included for free (I say free, I mean they are included with your core membership with no additional purchase required).
Below is a complete car list of every car currently in iRacing as of this article being written. We will update this list as new cars are added in future iRacing seasons.
Many people will say that the heart of iRacing lays within its NASCAR roots. And this can be seen from the large number of NASCAR and oval cars available in iRacing. All modern NASCAR series are supported, including the Truck Series, Xfinity, Cup and Next Gen series.
There are also a large number of legacy NASCAR cars. Legacy cars can be purchased for a reduced cost, but aren’t featured in any current series. They can still be raced in hosted sessions, so can be a good purchase if you’re racing in your own league.
Following on from the huge number of NASCAR cars in iRacing, there are also a good number of open wheel cars. These include both past and present IndyCar cars, as well as a growing selection of modern and historic Formula 1 cars.
The recent addition of the 2022 Mercedes-AMG W13 brought the latest generation of Formula 1 car into iRacing. If you re looking for something less powerful, there are a good number of other open wheel cars such as the ever popular Skip Barber Formula 200, and the Formula Vee which is included in an iRacing membership.
GT3 and GT4 cars are often where a lot of sim racers who enjoyed the Mazda MX-5 cup car will head once they progress out of the Rookie class. There is a growing number of modern GT3 and GT4 cars in iRacing, and these include the latest BMW M4 GT3, Mercedes-AMG GT3, Ferrari 488 GT3 cars and more.
With the growing competition within the GT3 and GT4 series in iRacing, car setups are increasingly more important to be competitive. A good car setup on a GT3 car can be the difference when racing against drivers of similar skill levels in similar cars. Check out our recommended iRacing setup subscription for the best GT3 and GT4 car setups in iRacing.
Prototype cars represent some of the fastest cars available in iRacing. Cars such as the recently added BMW M Hybrid V8 LMP1 car and the impressive Audi R8 LMP1 can make for some of the fastest wheel to wheel racing in iRacing. There is a good range of prototype cars available in iRacing, from modern LMP1 cars, to LMP2 cars and older prototypes.
If you fancy road racing, but want something other than GT or LMP cars, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the number of touring cars and supercars included in iRacing.
There is a huge variety of road cars that feature in iRacing, including the ever-popular Mazda MX-5 Cup car that many sim racers will start out in. From there, you can progress to faster touring cars such as the Hyundai Veloster and Elantra, and the Audi RS 3 LMS. There are also a good number of V8 supercars included for those who love wheel-to-wheel racing.
Dirt track racing is an incredibly competitive discipline within iRacing. Here you will find some of the most brutal and competitive wheel-to-wheel racing in the whole of iRacing. And there is a good number of cars available to choose from. You’ll find smaller USAC sprint cars up to the fire-breathing Big Block Modified cars.
Rallycross is a relatively recent addition to iRacing, but the great news is that the Volkswagen Beetle is included in your iRacing subscription. This gives sim racers the perfect opportunity to try out rallycross. There have been a couple of recent additions including the Subaru WRX STI and the Ford Fiesta RS WRC, and we hope to see more Rallycross cars added in upcoming seasons.
The final discipline that we’ll look at is the offroad category. There are currently only three offroad cars in iRacing and these represent a few different categories of offroad racing.
