BeamNG.drive is an incredibly quirky driving game. It is one of the most detailed and realistic driving simulations that differentiates itself from racing sim titles such as iRacing and Assetto Corsa by emphasizing soft-body physics.
This approach allows BeamNG to have one of the most realistic handling and damage models of any simulation title. You may have seen gameplay of cars deforming, crashing and rolling down hills, and this summarises one of the main attractions of BeamNG, its damage model.
Outside of the incredibly detailed and realistic damage model, BeamNG is one of the most immersive and realistic driving simulators. There are a wide variety of different scenarios that combine time trial elements or task you with getting to a certain spot in one piece.
Utilising a racing wheel in BeamNG.drive allows the game intensity to be ratcheted up. The immersion that a racing wheel can offers adds to the already realistic gameplay. You’ll also have more refined control from a wheel compared to a controller due to the much wider range of inputs.
But what wheels are compatible with BeamNG.drive? Below I’ll run through a complete list of all racing wheels that are supported and compatible with BeamNG.
If you currently don’t own a racing wheel and are looking to buy one, read our buyer’s guide on the best racing wheels.

Most of Thrustmaster’s wheel lineup is compatible in BeamNG including the newer wheels such as the T248 and T818. These two wheels and most of Thrustmaster’s other wheels include preset configurations in game, and the wheel will be recognised as soon as you start the game in most scenarios.
MOZA Racing is one of the newer brands to be have compatibility included in BeamNG. The rising popularity of MOZA Racing products is one of the main reasons that BeamNG has added direct support for all MOZA wheels including the newer R3 and R12.
