F1 2019 is a stunning game, however if there is one thing that you can do to drastically improve your experience in game, that is to play with a racing wheel. However you will want to ensure that your racing wheel or controller of choice is compatible with F1 2019. We’ve made your life simple by showing you a full compatibility list for F1 2019 on every console.
There are a very wide selection of compatible racing wheels available for every platform, including Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. Codemasters have done a very good job of making as many wheels and controllers compatible in game as possible.
The game and controller compatibility ranges from super accessible racing wheels such as the Logitech G29 / G920. All the way through to die hard Fanatec direct drive racing wheels costing upwards of £1,500.
A note in regards to the very expensive Fanatec Formula v2. Neither the encoders nor the Multi-Position-Switches on this racing wheel rim work in game. The Fanatec Formula v2 works, however only the standard buttons and functions are supported. There have also been reported issues with this wheel base such as non-synonymous vibration when using the ABS assist.

Below is a complete list of every F1 2019 compatible racing wheel, controller and peripheral, listed by platform. If you already own any of the wheels below you will be able to plug it straight in and start playing with it. Simple!

We aren’t too far away from the release of the next Formula 1 game, F1 2020. Although a release date hasn’t been announced, we are expecting it to release around June/July 2020. When the F1 2020 game does get released, we will update this list to include all supported racing wheels compatibility for F1 2020.

Not always. The majority of PC racing wheels are also compatible with Xbox consoles, however there are a lot of racing wheels which are specifically compatible with PC only.
Pretty much all Fanatec steering wheels are compatible with both consoles, however you will need to purchase a compatible wheelbase. Some Fanatec wheelbases are console specific.
Thrustmaster have different wheelbases for each console. For example, a T300 is PS4 compatible whilst a TMX is only Xbox compatible. Check our list to view full compatibility.
