In a similar vein to Hungary, Zandvoort is a track where a super high downforce approach is typically the best way to put in the fastest lap times. However, similar to my approach with our Hungary setup, I have gone away from that with this Zandvoort setup, all in the name of keeping up with the AI in a straight line.
Also, going away from 50-50 wings also allows us to focus a little more on rear stability, which can greatly improve your time around Zandvoort. If you do want to compete with the fastest drivers in time trial or during a league race, our pro F1 25 setups includes various different setups, using the fastest approach possible.

Starting with the aero as always, this is one of the most important parts of your setup at any track, but especially Zandvoort. I have set the front wing to 34, and the rear to 36. I have gone this low on the wings to really make this setup competitive with the AI, and this is very much a low downforce approach.
The rear bias also helps the car stay planted to the track. Zandvoort features a lot of fast corners where your rear stability and traction is tested. Turns 1, 3, 9 and 12 are all areas where the back of the car can get away from you, but that is somewhat alleviated with this setup.
The transmission is a part of our setup that lets us tune both for traction and drive, as well as rotation. I have the on throttle differential set at a reasonable 75%. This is high enough that you’ll get good drive on the exit of the faster corners. While being slightly lower to accommodate for the heavier traction zones that I just mentioned.
The off throttle differential is set to 30%, which is designed to make up for our focus on rear aero. Having this low will just help your car turn into and through some of the slower corners a little easier, freeing everything up.
With the geometry, you’ve guessed it. I have it all set to the left once again.
I have once again opted for a 41 and 1 approach on the suspension. Having the rear of the car as soft as possible lets the car really drop and grip up on the corner exit. I have pretty stiff anti-roll bars at 15 and 19. This helps keep your car relatively stable through the fast direction changes.
Then a ride height of 21 and 49, is on the higher side. But this is a bumpy circuit where you’ll be hitting a few kerbs. Much lower and you can really bottom out at some places.
For the brakes, I’ve gone a little lower than normal on the bias at just 53%. A super front focused bias isn’t needed as many braking zones require some form of rotation during the braking phase, so we can use the bias to help us rotate the car. Then go with 100% pressure.

Zandvoort can be a killer on tyre wear, much like somewhere like Spain. So I have all pressures set to maximum for this setup.
And that will round out this Zandvoort car setup. This is a track that feels incredibly fast and intense due to the fast layout and the twisty layout, and it will really reward a car that is stable at the rear end. Much like my previous Hungary setup, this setup isn’t optimised for time trial laps or league racing, instead prioritising competing against the AI in career mode races.
If you’re racing online in a league, or trying to put in the fastest laps possible, check out our pro F1 25 setups. They run a higher downforce setup, with more rotation with a focus on higher minimum corner speeds.
Let me know your thoughts on this setup and how you find it during a race. Remember, this isn’t a time trial setup, and is designed specifically for races, and has been created using a racing wheel.
If our free F1 25 car setups aren’t quite fast enough, check out our F1 25 Pro Setup Pack. It includes multiple optimised setups for every track, all created by some of the fastest league drivers. It also features stable car setups designed to make the car easier to control, as well as quali, tyre and race strategies for every Grand Prix.
