MOZA Racing has a huge lineup of racing wheels in 2025, giving sim racers a lot of choice on which wheel they buy. With F1 25 now launched, using a MOZA Racing wheel to race with is a great option.

However, updating the base settings to our optimised F1 25 settings will result in better force feedback while playing F1 25. In this guide, I run through our recommended wheel settings for all MOZA Racing wheels for F1 25.

The MOZA R3 and R5 wheels both come in bundles, paired with a set of pedals and a steering wheel. These are MOZA’s low cost, budget racing wheels, and they’re positioned perfectly for those playing F1 25 with a wheel for the first time.

Below are my recommended F1 25 wheel settings for both the MOZA R3 and R5 wheels. These settings are designed to get the most performance out of these two relatively low powered direct drive wheel bases.

Recommended MOZA R9 & R12 F1 25 settings

The MOZA R9 and R12 are the two mid-range direct drive racing wheels from the Chinese brand. Both of these wheels compete directly with other hardware such as the Fanatec CSL DD and SIMAGIC Alpha Neo Sport.

With 9Nm and 12Nm of peak torque, both the R9 and R12 offer more than enough performance to really feel the car interacting with the track surface in F1 25. Below are my recommended wheel settings for both the R9 and R12 in F1 25.

Recommended MOZA R16 & R21 F1 25 settings

With the MOZA R16 and R21, you’ll really have more than enough torque and power from the wheel base. These high-powered wheels are ideal for being de-tuned, while keeping a wider range of force feedback details thanks to the higher torque limit.

Below are our recommended F1 25 wheel settings for the MOZA R16 and R21. You’ll see that our recommendation includes the force feedback strength being lowered, as at 100%, these powerful racing wheels can feel too heavy for an F1 car.

Recommended MOZA Pit House settings

While using any MOZA Racing product, including their racing wheels, you’ll have to have the Pit House software installed as well. This software allows you to change your settings for each MOZA device, and update them to the latest firmware which is required for newer games such as F1 25.

MOZA does include some basic presets for different types of cars, inclyuding open-wheeled F1 cars. However, I’d recommend jumping in further, and adjusting the settings specifically for F1 25.

Below are my recommended MOZA Pit house settings for F1 25. You can use these settings across all MOZA wheels, but I’ve included some notes about key changes that should be made for the more powerful R16 and R21 wheel bases.

Basic settings

The basic settings let you change the key settings for your MOZA racing wheel. These include the overall strength and steering lock.

  • Maximum steering angle – 380°
    For the most accurate steering response in F1 25, set your maximum steering angle to 380 degrees. While 360° replicates the real-world Formula 1 steering lock, the physics in F1 25 respond better to a slightly higher setting. This improves control and precision during cornering.
  • Road sensitivity – 9
    Set your road sensitivity to 9 to maximize feedback from the track surface. This setting enhances how much texture and bumpiness you feel through the wheel, helping you better understand traction and grip. Lower values smooth out the road, but higher sensitivity gives a more immersive racing experience.
  • Game force feedback intensity – 100%
    Always set the force feedback intensity to 100% for the best response. This ensures you’re getting the full range of feedback your MOZA wheel can deliver. You can fine-tune the strength using the in-game force feedback setting in F1 25.
  • Maximum wheel speed – 50%
    A 50% wheel speed setting provides the optimal return-to-center speed for Formula 1 cars. This strikes a balance between responsiveness and stability during fast steering inputs.
  • Wheel spring strength – 0%
    Keep wheel spring strength at 0%. This feature is intended for games that don’t include a native return-to-center effect. Since F1 25 includes this natively, it’s best left disabled to avoid unnatural steering behavior.
  • Wheel damper – 40%
    Set the wheel damper to around 40–45%. This setting helps smooth out the force feedback, reducing excessive vibration without losing too much detail. It’s the sweet spot for a natural feel on all MOZA wheels.

Advanced settings

The next page lets you change the advanced settings. These control more detailed areas of the force feedback. If you don’t feel confident in what each setting does, you can leave this page alone, or copy our recommendations below.

  • Professional game force feedback intensity – 100%
    The professional force feedback intensity allows you to push the feedback strength beyond 100%. However, for F1 25, it’s recommended to keep this setting at 100% for a balanced and realistic driving feel. If needed, make finer adjustments through the in-game force feedback settings.
  • Maximum output torque limit – 100%
    Set the maximum torque output to 100% to fully utilize your wheel’s capabilities. This setting ensures you get the full force feedback range, especially important with powerful wheels like the MOZA R16 or R21. If you want to reduce feedback strength, it’s better to adjust this within F1 25’s in-game settings rather than capping torque at the hardware level.
  • Hands-off protection and steering wheel inertia – On + 2800
    Enable hands-off protection and set the steering wheel inertia to around 2800. This safety feature is crucial. It detects if you’ve released the wheel and prevents dangerous high-speed rotations. A proper setting helps avoid injury and protects your hardware during aggressive force feedback moments in F1 25.
  • Natural inertia – 200%
    Set natural inertia to 200% for a more realistic and smoother steering feel. This setting simulates the natural resistance and weight of a real F1 steering wheel, especially useful with MOZA wheels with F1 25’s new handling model.
  • Wheel friction – 30%
    Adjust wheel friction to 25–30%. This works together with inertia and damping settings to simulate tire grip and steering weight. Increasing friction enhances the tactile feedback when pushing the limits of traction on the track.
  • Speed-dependent damping – 65%
    Set speed-dependent damping to 65% to ensure your wheel doesn’t feel too light or twitchy at high speeds. This dynamic setting increases steering resistance based on vehicle speed, giving you more control during fast straights and sharp turns.
  • Start point of speed-dependent damping – 200km/h
    The start point for speed-dependent damping should be set to 200 km/h. This is the speed at which added damping begins to apply. Adjusting this can help fine-tune your wheel’s responsiveness and stability at high speeds.

FFB effect equaliser

For those looking to take force feedback customization to the next level in F1 25, the MOZA Force Feedback Effect Equalizer offers powerful control. Accessible through the Pit House software, this tool allows you to adjust the intensity of force feedback across different frequency ranges.

By fine-tuning specific frequencies, you can emphasize or reduce certain effects—such as kerb vibrations, road texture, or subtle tire slip cues—that may otherwise feel too strong or get lost during gameplay. This level of customization is perfect for creating a more immersive and personalized sim racing experience in F1 25.

How to set up any MOZA Racing wheel in F1 25

If you’re experiencing issues getting your MOZA Racing wheel to work with F1 25, or simply want to make sure everything is configured correctly, this step-by-step setup guide will help. A proper installation and configuration process can resolve many common connection or calibration problems.

Follow these instructions to set up your MOZA wheel in F1 25 the right way:

  1. Connect Your MOZA Wheel to Your PC
    Begin by securely mounting your MOZA racing wheel to your sim rig or desk. Then, connect it to your PC and power everything on. Make sure all cables are properly plugged in before proceeding.
  2. Download and Install MOZA Pit House
    Head to the official MOZA Racing website and download the free Pit House software. Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the prompts. After installation, launch Pit House—it should automatically detect your connected MOZA hardware.
