After the incredibly fun and enjoyable Imola race, we have everyone’s favourite track, Monaco. In F1 25 this is possibly the toughest circuit to drive fast, although, when you nail that perfect lap, it is incredibly rewarding.

As expected, a Monaco car setup is all about high downforce and good stability at the rear end under acceleration. It is so easy to light up the rear tyres and end up facing sideways. This car setup will set you up with the best tools to last a full race at this incredibly tough street track.

If you think you have a good handle on the track and you’re feeling that you can extract some more lap time. Do check out our pro F1 25 Monaco setup, which is part of our pro setup and strategy bundle. The multiple pro setups for Monaco will lead to more potential lap time gain, and the strategies will set you up for the race with the perfect pit timing.

Aero setup

Now, I shouldn’t say this, but lets get this setup over with so we can move onto more enjoyable tracks. With the aero, it is no surprise that I have gone for 50 on both front and rear wings. You need all the downforce you can get around Monaco, so that’s where we’ve ended up.

Transmission setup

For the transmission, lowering the on throttle differential to just 50% will help you maximise your traction. You can go lower, although it will come at the cost of some initial push out of the corners. Set the off throttle differential to an equally low 30% for excellent rotation at slow speed.

Suspension geometry setup

With the geometry, you’ve guessed it. I have it all set to the left once again.

Suspension setup

With the suspension, I have gone with 39 and 6, followed by 12 and 18 on the anti-roll bars. This ARB setup is actually pretty high for such a slow speed circuit, but helps a lot with overall stability. Then set the ride height to 20 and 50.

Brake setup

For the brakes, a slightly more rearward brake bias of 54% is ideal. Setting this too high will increase your risk of locking up due to the slow corner speeds and bumpy track surface. Then, as always, go with 100% brake pressure.

Tyre setup

The tyre pressures can be lower around Monaco as tyre temperature build up isn’t as high. Go with 24.5 at the front, and 22.5psi for both rears. This should give a good balance of traction, as well as temperature management.

Conclusion

And thankfully, that completes our Monaco car setup. This is never a track I enjoy going to, although hitting the Tabac and swimming pool chicane just right is incredibly fun.

If you’re racing online in a league, or trying to put in the fastest laps possible, check out our pro F1 25 setups. They run a higher downforce setup, with more rotation with a focus on higher minimum corner speeds.

Let me know your thoughts on this setup and how you find it during a race. Remember, this isn’t a time trial setup, and is designed specifically for races, and has been created using a racing wheel.
