Best F1 25 Logitech G923 Wheel Settings: PS5, Xbox & PC

Many sim racers’ first experience of racing with a wheel comes at the hands of the Logitech G923. This racing wheel has been the entry point for many sim racers for 5 years. It delivers excellent performance for its price and features an incredibly high build quality.

All of these features make it ideal for jumping into F1 25 for the first time. Being such a popular sim racing wheel, it is also widely supported by most racing games, including F1 25. And it works across every platform, PS5, Xbox and PC. Although it’s important to make sure you get the right version for your console!

In this guide, I’ll share my recommended Logitech G923 wheel settings for F1 25, to improve the force feedback.

Recommended FFB settings for the Logitech G923

Adjusting the force feedback settings in F1 25 lets you optimise how the Logitech G923 delivers its feedback, and how it feels on track. The preset settings are fine, however, with a few settings changes, we can optimise the force feedback.

Being a rather underpowered racing wheel, increasing the forces is a good way to boost the overall force feedback feel, while prioritising the different effects you wish to feel.

Below are my recommended force feedback settings for the Logitech G923 in F1 25 for all console platforms.

The main areas that I’ve adjusted to optimise the G923 in F1 25 are the force feedback strength, along with tuning the effects and the wheel rotation.

• Boosting the vibration and force feedback strength allows for stronger all round feedback from your wheel. This will make all effects more pronounced. However, be careful not to set this too high, otherwise you may introduce force feedback clipping.
• Adjusting on track, kerb and off track effects lets you fine tune which parts of the circuit produce the most force feedback. The on track effects are by far the most important as they include surface changes, bumps in the track and marbles on the track surface. You can then set the rumble strip and off track effects lower so they don’t jolt or vibrate the wheel too much when you drive onto these surfaces.
• Setting the wheel damper to a low value will add some weight into the wheel. Increasing this setting makes the wheel feel stickier and heavier to turn. You will want a small amount of damper so the wheel doesn’t feel too jitterish and light, but not too much that it makes the wheel feel uncomfortably heavy.
• Set the wheel rotation to around 360° for realistic steering angles. You can increase the rotation slightly to 370° or lower it to around 350° based on your preference. Changing this setting will affect the speed of your wheel inputs.

Recommended FFB settings for the Logitech G29 & G920

Both the G29 and G920 are the previous generation Logitech wheel. They look very similar to the newer G923, and even perform similarly as well, although they lack the TrueForce feature.

Being very similar means you can use very similar settings to the those above in F1 25. You may want to adjust the vibration and force feedback strength a little higher as the G29 wheel is ever so slightly weaker than the newer G923.

Below are my recommended settings for the Logitech G29 in F1 25.

Calibration settings for the Logitech G923

Within the calibration menu in F1 25, you can fix any issues that arise with your wheel. If you can’t reach 100% steering, throttle or brake input, you can adjust the saturation setting. Or adjust the deadzone if your wheel is registering an input without you touching your wheel.

You don’t need to adjust any calibration settings if your Logitech wheel is performing normally in F1 25. However, make the following changes for any of the following issues;

• Increase the deadzone if any of your inputs are registering an input without you touching them. Adding deadzone can fix your wheel drifting to the side on a straight.
• Increase the saturation if you cannot reach 100% input. This is helpful if you aren’t hitting 100% input on the throttle or brake pedal during the button test.
• Increasing the linearity will affect the input curve, making your inputs less sensitive at the start and more sensitive at the end of your input. This can be helpful if you’re struggling with brake or throttle management when not using the traction control or ABS assist.

How to set up a Logitech G923 wheel in F1 25

F1 25 should automatically detect your Logitech G923 when you first launch the game. However, if your wheel isn’t recognised in-game or you want to apply optimised settings like the recommended F1 25 force feedback settings above, you may need to manually configure some options.

Follow this step-by-step guide to correctly set up your Logitech G923 in F1 25:

1. Connect and Mount the Wheel
   Plug in your Logitech G923 to your console or PC, securely mount it to your rig or desk, and power it on.
2. Install Logitech G Hub Software (PC Only)
   If you’re playing on PC, download and install the free Logitech G Hub software. This tool allows you to update the wheel’s firmware and fine-tune hardware settings.
3. Check for Firmware Updates
   Use G Hub to make sure your Logitech G923 is running the latest firmware, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility with F1 25. Only really required for PC players.
4. Launch F1 25 and Configure Settings
   Start F1 25, navigate to the controller settings menu, and input our recommended Logitech G923 force feedback and vibration settings for the best driving experience.
5. Perform Button Testing and Calibration
   Run the in-game button test and calibrate your wheel to make sure all inputs (steering, pedals, and buttons) are functioning correctly.
6. Adjust Button Mapping
   Customise your button configuration within F1 25 to match your personal preferences and improve in-game control.

Logitech G Hub settings

If you’re racing F1 25 on a PC, you can download and install Logitech G Hub. This software lets you update the firmware for your G923 wheel, and change a few settings. You can also use G Hub if you plan on racing on an Xbox or PS5 by connecting your wheel to a PC.
