Suzuka is the third track in the F1 25 calendar, so let’s take a look at a nice stable race setup that feels pretty damn good. I absolutely love this track, so creating this car setup was a lot of fun, and it performs incredibly well against the AI, making up a lot of time through the twisty sector 1.

This setup is designed to be quick, but most importantly stable, making it an excellent starting point for most players. If you want to unlock the most amount of pace out of your car possible, I’d recommend checking out our F1 25 Pro Suzuka setup, which prioritises competitive pace, and has been created by our setup team of much faster drivers than me!

Aero setup

Now starting with the aero setup in this race setup. I have set the aero to 30 at the front and 32 at the rear. This approach of inverting the wings to be higher at the rear really adds to the overall stability. At Suzuka rear stability is crucial through the long twisting corners. The good news is that with the rest of our setup, we aren’t suffering from understeer, so we can run this rear-focused aero.

Now, the AI in F1 25 can be incredibly strong on the straights. This setup will have you finding a lot of time against the AI through the twisty sectors 1 and 2, but losing a touch on the straights. For a lower downforce approach, lower both wings down to around 28-30.

Transmission setup

The transmission is similar to previous setups for Australia and China. I have the on throttle differential at 90% for good drive, but not too much oversteer. And the off throttle is set to 40% which is a touch lower than our other setups, and helps rotate the car into the corner.

Suspension geometry setup

With the geometry, you’ve guessed it. I have it all set to the left once again.

Suspension setup

The suspension is setup to allow the car to drive consistently without any erratic behaviour. I have gone for 41 and 9 on the front and rear suspension, and then 10 and 19 on the anti-roll bars. With the corners being so long at Suzuka compared to tracks such as Australia, the higher rear suspension stiffness really helps, as does the rear anti-roll bar being lower than max.

I’ve then set the ride height to a fairly balanced 22 and 46. We don’t want too much rake in the car at Suzuka otherwise the rear is going to feel very light, and you’ll get a lot of over rotation.

Brake setup

I have set the brake bias to 55% which is quickly becoming my favourite route with the bias. You can adjust this corner to corner, and I’d recommend manually lowering it into the slow hairpin at turn 11. Then set the pressure to 100% again.

Tyre setup

At Suzuka, its the rear tyres that overheat, despite the high loads on the fronts through the first sector. For this reason, I’ve set the rear pressures to maximum to mitigate as much temperature build up as possible. Then I’ve set the front pressures at 28.8psi, which is just below maximum.

Conclusion

And that completes this year’s Japanese F1 25 car setup. This is an extremely fun track to drive, and this car setup really allows you to attack the track and compete against the AI. Let me know your thoughts on this setup and how you find it during a race. Remember, this isn’t a time trial setup, and is designed specifically for races, and has been created using a racing wheel.
