Should you race F1 25 in VR?

While you can race F1 25 on PC in virtual reality, the next question is, should you? Using a VR headset in game can add a lot of immersion, putting you behind the wheel of your favourite F1 team’s car, and going truly wheel-to-wheel on track.

It can also have some downsides, which include dizziness, fatigue and also headset battery limitations. Despite these issues, I would highly recommend trying F1 25 or any other sim racing game in VR if the opportunity arises.

In VR, you can look around your cockpit, check your mirrors for approaching cars, and turn your head to see the corner apex or cars alongside you. None of this can really be achieved when racing F1 25 on a static monitor screen.

This will mimic what you’re seeing in game, with your wheel rotating as you make steering inputs, and it’s the best way to achieve the most realistic experience inside F1 25.

Wired vs wireless: Best way to connect Meta Quest 3 for F1 25 VR

When it comes to playing F1 25 in VR with your Meta Quest 3, there are two main connection options:

• Link Cable – A wired connection that offers the most stable performance and lowest latency.
• Air Link – A wireless option that provides more freedom but may introduce lag depending on your Wi-Fi network.

While both methods are fully compatible with F1 25, using a Link Cable is highly recommended for sim racing. The improved connection stability, reduced latency, and consistent performance make it the better choice for long racing sessions and competitive gameplay.
