Silverstone is possibly my favourite circuit in F1 25, and yes I may be a little biased there. It’s an incredibly fast circuit that is a real joy to race on. It requires a very stable rear end, allowing you to put the power down hard out of corners such as Aintree and Luffield.

This means a focus on rear aero, as well as the transmission and suspension. All of these areas will come together to create a car that is quite simply fun, fast and easy to drive.

With the AI being incredibly fast in a straight line, I’ve veered more towards low downforce in this set up to ensure you can keep up with the AI on the straights. This is something a lot of you guys have mentioned, so it’s a big focus at the power dependant upcoming tracks such as Silverstone, Spa and Monza for example.

Aero setup

Starting with the aero, to ensure we have a stable rear end, I’ve prioritised the rear wing. I’ve gone with 19 at the front and 21 for the rear wing aero. This will move the aero balance more rearward, and allow us to be a little more aggressive with acceleration out of some of the medium speed corners.

Transmission setup

Then, I’ve set the on throttle differential to just 60%. This is again designed for maximum traction. You can increase this all the way to 100% if you feel confident in the car. However, I found that after a few laps, and as the tyres wear down, having the on throttle differential close to 100% makes everything a little too slippery.

Hence the lower and more stable setup. Then, I have the off throttle differential at 40%, which is roughly where I like it at most tracks.

Suspension geometry setup

With the geometry, you’ve guessed it. I have it all set to the left once again.

Suspension setup

Now, much like our Austria setup, I’ve set the suspension to 41 and 1 once again. This helps a lot with traction at the rear of the car, which is a big focus point here. I’ve then gone with 16 on the front ARB, which is pretty high for an F1 25 setup. This boosts our overall stability by making the car slightly less twitchy. Then set the rear anti-roll bar to 21.

For the ride height, a middle ground approach of 21 at the front and 46 at the rear is good. This isn’t too low that you’ll be scraping the ground too often, while the ride height is balanced between high speed performance and overall downforce.

Brake setup

Set the brake bias to 55% and the pressure to 100%.

Tyre setup

Then round out this Silverstone car setup by setting all tyre pressures to maximum. You can play with lowering the rear pressures for a little more traction. However, this will add increased temperature build up, which can lead to the tyres wearing faster if you don’t manage your wheel spin.

Conclusion

And that completes our Silverstone car setup. I spent way too long creating this setup, mainly because it was a great excuse to run a few races around this awesome track. This set up really falls in the sweet spot, allowing for enough downforce to be quick through the corners. It has great rear stability, and is low downforce enough to battle the super quick AI down the straights.

If you want a setup that is more focused towards unlocking the fastest lap times, we do have our Pro F1 25 setups. The setups in there are designed to put in the fastest lap times in modes such as time trial, and when racing competitively online. You’ll find a range of setups including higher downforce Esports style setups, safe setups and soon, we’ll be adding low downforce setups too.

Let me know your thoughts on this setup and how you find it during a race. Remember, this isn’t a time trial setup, and is designed specifically for races, and has been created using a racing wheel.
