Bahrain is the fourth track in F1 25, after being relegated from being the first race of the season. This tricky technical circuit is punishing on your rear tyres, and can be a real challenge keeping the rear of the car in check. This car setup will make your car stable to drive across long distances, and fast against the speedy AI.
The approach I’ve gone down in this setup is pretty different compared to our Pro setups, which are faster car setups, aimed at extrtacting as much performance as possible. This setup veers on stability, while those setups will give you a complete rocket ship of a car. If you want to unlock the most amount of pace out of your car possible, I’d recommend checking out our F1 25 Pro Bahrain setup.

First up is the aero, and this is the first area of compromise at Bahrain. Really, to maximise your lap time, you’ll want a high downforce setup. But racing against the AI, this approach will destroy you down the long straights.
So I’ve gone for a medium downforce approach with 34 at the front and 29 at the rear of the car. This gives you good turn in ability at slower speeds, with the large offset between front and rear wings allowing for good rotation.
With Bahrain being so tough on rear tyre wear, I’ve addressed this slightly with the transmission. I’ve set the on throttle diff to just 75%. Again, in a true time trial setup, this would be higher to extract more performance, but lowering it will help with preventing wheelspin and keeping those rear tyre temperatures down.
I’ve then set the off throttle diff to 40%. We don’t need it too low, as we have good rotation from the aero offset, so this can be more neutral.
With the geometry, you’ve guessed it. I have it all set to the left once again.
For the suspension, I have the front and rear set up pretty much as extreme as they can go with 41 and 2. Then, I’ve moved the front ARBs up to 10 for slightly better stability, and set the rear ARBs to 19. Then, the ride height of 22 and 48 keeps your car low to the ground to minimise drag.
I have set the brake bias to 55% again for this setup. This works really well as there are some heavy braking zones. Plus having the bias more towards the front will reduce those rear tyre temperatures slightly. Set the brake pressure to 100%.
For the tyre pressures, this looks very similar to my previous car setup. Its all about managing the rear tyre temperatures, so I’ve set them as high as they’ll go. Then I’ve lowered the front pressures slightly to 28.5psi to help maintain the correct temperature window for them.
And that completes this year’s Bahrain F1 25 car setup. This is probably the most technical circuit out of the first four races, and it’s tricky to really balance all areas of your car setup. This approach will tick a few boxes. It’ll ensure you’re fast enough in a straight line to keep up with the AI. You’ll have a stable car to drive throughout a race, and we’ve mitigated tyre wear and temperatures as much as we can.
Let me know your thoughts on this setup and how you find it during a race. Remember, this isn’t a time trial setup, and is designed specifically for races, and has been created using a racing wheel.
