The Red Bull Ring in Austria is one of the shortest, and most enjoyable tracks to drive in F1 25. It has a bit of everything from the long straights, to the ultra slow turn 3, and the incredibly fast last sector. While this makes it fun to drive, it makes it a bit of a challenge to create a car setup for.
The result is a pretty neutral aero setup, with a focus on the medium speed to cover all basis. This setup feels good to drive, and consistent across an entire race. If you want more aggression from your setup, check out our Pro car setups.
Our pro Austria setup in general sets the car up to be much more on the limit, with a focus on out and out pace. There are multiple car setups to choose from as well as strategies for Austria and every other track in the game.

With the aero for this setup, I have gone with an incredibly low downforce 24 and 21. Time trial setups, and more aggressive setups such as our pro Austria setup normally run much higher downforce, which allows for better overall lap times.
When competing against the AI though, we need to focus on more low downforce than we’d really like. This setup lets you hit high top speeds along the pit straight and after turn 1 and 3, making your car really competitive throughout a race.
At Austria, an on throttle differential setup of 75% is about right. You can manually adjust this during a race, and I recommend lowering it ahead of turn 3 and increasing it back up right after. That’s the biggest traction zone around this track, and a lower on throttle diff setup can help you get the power down.
I’ve gone with a fairly balanced 40% off throttle differential, which keeps the car tight and stable on corner entry.
With the geometry, you’ve guessed it. I have it all set to the left once again.
With this being a pretty full on track, I’ve run the most aggressive suspension setup you can at 41 and 1. This will let the car respond incredibly well through the fast corners.
Then go with anti roll bars of 9 and 19, followed by a higher than normal ride height of 22 and 49. Some of the kerbs around the Red Bull Ring are high, and the tracks pretty bumpy in places, so setting the ride height much lower at the front can result in some unintended consequences.
For the brakes, a setup of 54 or 55% bias is good. I’d increase it up to 56% heading into turn 3, but use 54-55% for the rest of the circuit. Then go with 100% brake pressure.
Finally, the tyre pressures work best when not set to maximum around this track, despite the heavy loads on the front tyres through the last sector in particular. Go with 27.5psi on the fronts and 25.4psi on the rears to finish this car setup.
Overall, this setup will be really well balanced for racing through career mode, as you’ll have a car that can battle on the straights, yet still performs well through the slow and medium speed corners.
If you’re racing online in a league, or trying to put in the fastest laps possible, check out our pro F1 25 setups. They run a higher downforce setup, with more rotation with a focus on higher minimum corner speeds.
Let me know your thoughts on this setup and how you find it during a race. Remember, this isn’t a time trial setup, and is designed specifically for races, and has been created using a racing wheel.
If our free F1 25 car setups aren’t quite fast enough, check out our F1 25 Pro Setup Pack. It includes multiple optimised setups for every track, all created by some of the fastest league drivers. It also features stable car setups designed to make the car easier to control, as well as quali, tyre and race strategies for every Grand Prix.
