We have made it to the final race on the calendar, and its a circuit that has become much more enjoyable in recent years. The big changes to the Yas Marina layout now allows for lower downforce car setups, and has a much more flowing layout, especially through the final sector where a lot of corners got re-profiled a few years ago.

Aero setup

Starting with the aero, I have the wings setup a little bit inverted, with priority at the rear of the car. I’ve gone with 24 and 25. The reason for this is that many corners at Abu Dhabi have your accelerating hard into and through the apex, and really require a planted rear end to maximise your performance onto the next straight. Turns 1, as well as the entirety of the final sector are perfect examples where more rear downforce can help achieve better lap times.

Transmission setup

With these faster corners, and the extra rear stability we get from our aero setup, we can push the on throttle differential to 80%. This will give us the best drive through many of these turns. Then go with my favourite off throttle setup of 35%.

Suspension geometry setup

With the geometry, I have it all set to the left.

Suspension setup

With the suspension, go with 41 at the front and 5 at the rear. Having the rear a bit stiffer will help the car rotate slightly better mid corner, and make up for some of the understeer that a rear-focused aero setup will naturally encounter. Then, anti-roll bars set to 15 and 18 allow for a really stable car throughout a lap. Round out the suspension with 21 and 49 on the ride height.

Brake setup

A brake bias of 54% is pretty perfect for the majority of the lap. The only real exception is into the incredibly slow turn 6, which would favor a 55 or even 56% bias. But you can make this adjustment via the MFD if needed. Then 100% on the brake pressure.

Tyre setup

Finally, finish off our F1 25 car setups with maximum tyre pressures all around. Yas Marina has become much faster than it was in previous years, and this does result in punishing the tyres more than in the past.

Conclusion

And that completes all of our F1 25 car setups for this year. I am so glad that EA haven’t completely reworked the handling so far like they did last year, although, this may be the kiss of death, and we’ll probably see a complete handling patch next week now that I’ve said that.
