Automobilista 2 has been around for a good number of years; however, it has seen a resurgence in popularity recently. This is thanks to the continuous stream of DLC packs that are being released, including the recent IMSA pack. Also, the announcement that LFM has partnered with developer Reiza Studios to incorporate AMS2 into the Low Fuel Motorsport platform has given AMS2 a big boost in player count.
Low Fuel Motorsport’s integration of AMS2 and collaboration with Reiza Studios is pretty significant in the competitive sim racing space. LFM have built a reputation on offering competitive racing and ranking systems to titles such as Assetto Corsa Competizione and Assetto Corsa, vastly improving the multiplayer racing experience.
With competitive online racing comes the desire to really chase additional lap time, and one way of doing that is with a good car setup. Like most simulators, AMS2 has an in-depth car setup system, allowing you to change multiple areas of your setup to improve performance and stability.
With Automobilista 2 not having the same player count as other competitive titles such as ACC, Assetto Corsa or iRacing, car setups can be a bit harder to find. There are plenty of setup creators for those other sim racing titles, and we have our own setup creator team who create some of the best ACC car setups and iRacing car setups.

With Low Fuel Motorsport scheduling races in AMS2, LFM setups are designed to give you the best performing car each week. LFM adjust the BoP (Balance of Performance) to ensure all cars are capable of the same lap times, removing any advantage that certain cars have.
This evens the playing field and lets sim racers choose their car based on which one they like most and which suits them best rather than having to pick the fastest car in the game.
LFM’s AMS2 servers are in publich beta as of now, meaning they haven’t launched their first full season yet. However, when they do, all of our AMS2 car setups will be tuned with the BoP in mind.
Installing any car setup in AMS2 is a simple process. This method works for any car setup that you download or share, and follows a similar process to other sim racing titles.
When you save a car setup from Automobilista 2, you will generate a .SVM file, which will be in your documents folder on your PC. To share this car setup, simply navigate to the directory below, copy the setup from the correct track and share it.

To install any AMS2 car setup that you have downloaded, you can simply repeat the process above, but in reverse.
