How To Use Our ACC Setups On PC, Xbox & PS5

Some of the setups on SimRacingSetup feature downloadable JSON files which most Assetto Corsa Competizione sim racers will be very familiar with.

However the majority of our setups were created on and for Xbox and PlayStation consoles racers. Therefor, because JSON files aren’t compatible with consoles, these setups are instead written in a format allowing for easy use with consoles.

In this guide, I’ll run through how to best use and install our Assetto Corsa Competizione setups on all platforms, including Xbox and PS5.

Using ACC setups on Xbox and PlayStation

The process below is the best workflow to install ACC car setups on both Xbox and PlayStation versions of ACC. This does also work with PC where a JSON file isn’t available.

Using ACC car setups on PC

Some of the ACC car setups on our website include a downloadable JSON file, so you can save time when installing our setups. If the car setup doesn’t include a JSON file, you can still follow all of the steps above to use our setups on a PC.

1. Find a setup you’d like to use
   Browse for ACC setups, filtering them by the car you are driving. After clicking on a car setup, or downloading a setup bundle, you will be able to download the setup JSON file. Download this to your PC.
2. Install the JSON file
   You will have to move the downloaded JSON file to your ACC setups folder, which you can find here –Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione\Setups. Ensure you copy the JSON file to the correct folder structure within your setups folder which should look like \Setups\CarNameHere\TrackNameHere
3. Load up ACC and test the setup
   Once you have installed the car setups you’d like to try using the step above, boot up Assetto Corsa Competizione, jump into a practice or race session and load the car setup. Then head out on track and try out the car setup.

How to use a JSON setup file on console?

If you have downloaded an ACC car setup that includes a JSON file, this file unfortunately cannot be used on an Xbox or PlayStation. However, you can still use the setup by loading it into our ACC setup viewer.

To use our setup viewer, simply click on the button that says “Select setup file“, choose your file and then click “View car setup“. This will then show you the setup values for all aspects of the car setup.

You can then copy these values into your game on Xbox or PlayStation.

Overview

Using the first method above will allow you to use our Assetto Corsa Competizione car setups on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. If a JSON file is available for the setup you’d like to use, you can use our second method to speed up the process by simply loading the car setup right into ACC.

Just don’t forget to adjust your tyre pressures after loading a new ACC car setup! Your tyre pressures are vital to how your car behaves on track, and any changes to your car setup will alter your tyre’s pressures on track and their temperatures.

For this reason, you should always adjust your tyre pressures after making car setup changes in ACC, or input the recommended tyre pressures if the setup recommends some.
