The V1.9 update launched yesterday for Assetto Corsa Competizione, aaaand it changed a lot! There have been big improvements and adjustments to the tyre model, suspension physics and other areas of how cars behave and feel on track.

This update has meant that all Assetto Corsa Competizione car setups will need to be tweaked and updated to really perform at their best after the V1.9 update.

The good news is that our car setup creators have been working hard day and night to create new and updated car setups for every car in Assetto Corsa Competizione at every track.

And the even better news is that some car setups are ready to download and race with already!

Ferrari 296 GT3 car setups

The Ferrari 296 GT3 is one of the main attractions of the 2023 GT World Challenge DLC that was released at the same time as the V1.9 update for Assetto Corsa Competizione.

The 296 GT3 is a brand new car in ACC and is the eventual replacement for the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo. This new Ferrari features aerodynamics that produces up to 20% more downforce than the older Ferrari 488, and is shaping up to be a real force in ACC.

Being a completely new car, the Ferrari 296 GT3 posed a completely fresh challenge when it comes to creating car setups. The car was an unknown quantity, meaning all car setups had to be started from scratch.

However, it is great news that we have a complete car setup bundle already available to download for the new Ferrari 296 GT3! Our setup creator, Jose López, has created car setups for the Ferrari 296 GT3 for every single track in ACC including the newly added Valencia.

BMW M4 GT3 car setups

The BMW M4 GT3 is one of the most popular cars in Assetto Corsa Competizione. For this reason, we’ve prioritised updating the setups for every track after the V1.9 update.

With the updates to the tyre model and the suspension physics, new car setups are really required for this car, and all cars in ACC to perform at their optimal level. The BMW M4 GT3 was the first car to receive the V1.9 car setup updates, but all other cars will follow in the coming days and weeks.

When will the other V1.9 car setups be released?

Our schedule to release the other V1.9 car setups includes releasing updated car setups each day. We’re going to prioritise creating car setups for the new cars, the Porsche 992 GT3 R and the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2.

From there we are planning on updating the car setup for every car that is in Assetto Corsa Competizione, excluding some of the now outdated cars which don’t feature in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

This does mean that updated car setups for the older Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari are likely to be the last to be released, and there won’t be any V1.9 car setups released for old cars such as the Emil Frey Jaguar, BMW M6 and the older Bentley Continental etc.

What is new with ACC V1.9 car setups?

The recent update for Assetto Corsa Competizione introduced a host of new changes to the physics and tyre model. These included a revamped tyre model that opened up the working window allowing for a slightly easier time when it comes to setting up tyre pressures.

There were also big changes to the suspension and damper model. These included fixes to reduce unrealistic toe and damper setups.

For a detailed explanation of each of the updates, read our guide on exactly what was included in the Assetto Corsa Competizione V1.9 update.
