We have known about the Nordschleife being the next DLC to be added to Assetto Corsa Competizione for a while thanks to a teaser trailer that was released at the end of 2023. In that teaser, it was hinted that the Nordschleife track DLC would be released in Spring 2024.

Now we’re very much on the way to Spring, and we have just had confirmation of the release date of the upcoming Nordschleife DLC. Kunos has released an official DLC trailer for this much-anticipated track update with the release date.

When is the Nordschleife DLC being added to ACC?

The Green Hell will officially be added to ACC on the 1st April 2024. Despite being April Fools, we highly doubt this is an elaborate April Fools joke as this is one of the most anticipated pieces of DLC to be released for Assetto Corsa Competizione in a long time.

It is important to note that this date is for the PC release of the Nordschleife DLC, with console sim racers getting access to the new track at a later unconfirmed date. There is normally a delay of a few months for console releases, meaning it’s likely the track will be added to ACC on Xbox and PS5 around June or July. However, this console release date hasn’t been confirmed.

Will the Nordschleife DLC be free?

We haven’t had any pricing confirmed for the upcoming Nordschleife DLC, however, we do have an official name for the DLC pack. It will be called the “Nürburgring 24H Pack DLC” which highly leans towards this being a paid DLC pack just like the recent GT2 DLC.

Assetto Corsa Competizione typically prices its DLC packs between £9.99 and £17.99, with packs that include a new track and new cars tending to be on the higher side.

Will new cars be included in the Nürburgring 24H Pack DLC?

Originally, this DLC was named the “Season 2024 pack” which leads us to believe that the new track will be paired with some updates reflecting the 2024 GT3 season.

As a comparison, last year’s 2023 GT World Challenge DLC included a new track, Circuit Ricardo Tormo – Valencia, alongside three new cars, the Ferrari 296 GT3, Porsche 911 (992) GT3 R and Lamborghini Huracàn EVO2. This DLC was to reflect the official car lineup of the 2023 GT World Challenge. A similar amount of content will likely be added as part of the Nürburgring 24H Pack DLC pack.

Nordschleife DLC date confirmation

The first hint that the upcoming Nürburgring 24H Pack DLC would be released on April 1st 2024 came as a part of a financial presentation by parent company Digital Bros. During their results presentation that looked at the financial results for the first half of 2023-24, they made the following statement.

“The Group’s release schedule for the second half of this fiscal year includes; the launch of the Season 2024 pack for Assetto Corsa Competizione on April 1st, 2024. The official video game for the Fanatec GT World Challenge championship will feature the iconic Nürburgring Nordscheifle [sic] circuit for the first time.”

This presentation was released on the 13th March 2024 which was before an official release date was announced. It wasn’t until a day later that Kunos would officially confirm the Nürburgring 24H Pack DLC release date via X/Twitter.
